Looks like Hull are top of the list of being shafted this year , its ridiculous . Any more of this and I am done watching RL. If past and present players where that concerned about head injuries they should have been wearing skull caps , not many around these days, so the players who are whinging cant have been that concerned .
That last night was the most retarded red card ive seen .

| As we started all this controversy with the sending off of Sao,Pele and the card suspension for Essee i wonder if it will be Hull FC that finishes all these ridiculous new rules given last nights red card decision.
Such is the backlash in the sport there is no way that Brown will be suspended but the RFL will have to go away and rethink the game.
Wonder which team will be the first to walk off the pitch if this continues

Repercussions could well mean the future of the sport as SKY and other stakeholders may well decide that they’ve had enough of the way the sport is governed and the ineptitude of those involved.

Don't bet on it. There was widespread criticism of Watts' red card but he was still banned. Based on Griffiths' comments to Brown "forceful and dangerous, there's no mitigation" Brown is potentially looking at a five to six game ban.

I think it was Bradford that walked off the pitch in the old Northern days after they had a
Number of players sent off, I think it was against rovers (could be wrong).

| Tbh to Wilkin,he really let it be known what he thought of it and was very vocal and emotional about it and saying never a red..then you had Wells trying to justify it and stating the letter of the law, even Dave Woods was saying no chance. We know that head contact is red but that wasn’t even intentional, deliberate or whatever else it was…Wells could analyse a dump and still say it wasn’t.

FC did it in the early seventies, I think it was Leeds. As they sauntered to the empty line, again, I think it was Alf Macklin who ran back across and tackled the opposition, the rest of the players ran back on and pretty sure we won. Wilf knows better than this Old Fart, my memory’s shocking, did we win Friday

Lets see
i am very confident the RFL will behind closed doors instruct the panel that the ruling should be sending off sufficient

I tend to agree as feel it’ll all be done behind closed doors and swept under the carpet once more. They’d get more respect if they actually came out, fronted up admitted that mistakes have snd are being made, apologise to Nu Brown, Smith, AP and the fans of the game for the poor application of rules. Then once they’ve done that make a solid commitment to dig down with the players, coaches and owners to rectify the problem before the sport suffers anymore damage which could prove to be irreparable.

I agree.
They’ll want this reaction to go away and will just pass it off as sending off sufficient.
You could tell it had s already started in the Second Half last night. With the Warrington penalty try, the referee/VR were desperate to send Tex to the sin bin, but knew they’d messed up in the first half, so didn’t even speak with him.

| Tuesday 10th September 1974: Hull 12 Leeds 8
"........Hepworth tackled our captain, the usually mild mannered Brian Hancock, and much to the delight of the fans a fist fight involving six players immediately broke out centred around these two. Referee Lawrenson sent Hancock straight off the field, for what was the player’s first ever dismissal. His Hull FC team mates crowded round the official to object and Len Casey must have said a bit too much because off he went too, as the referee again pointed to the dressing rooms.
Our blind side prop forward that day ‘Big’ Jim Macklin, who never had that much patience, had by this time clearly had enough! The fiery front rower motioned to the players and pointed to the tunnel as most of them started to trudge defiantly towards the dressing rooms. Now this was a real surprise for the fans who had never ever contemplated seeing the players walking from the field in protest. It was simply unheard of and we were all stood in absolute amazement. The official, who clearly had no idea what to do next, (nothing new there then) told Leeds to ignore our players and get on with the penalty, Syd Hynes tapped the ball and set off arrogantly jogging down the pitch towards the Airlie Street end, with a wide grin on his face.
Alf Macklin, Jim’s brother who was stuck out on the wing and not part of the walk off, shouted to the lads and pointed to the Leeds player arrogantly jogging towards the line out of his own half. ‘F*cking get Him’ was his call and one that was taken up immediately around the terracing. Our players turned round, and in a fit of rage ran back across the field and Jim Macklin and Don Robson sunk the now fleeing Syd Hynes with one of the biggest crash tackles I have ever seen!! The referee had by now completely lost control and the game continued to the break by which time the eleven players of Hull FC, playing like men possessed, had somehow managed to tough it out, and keep the marauding Leeds forwards from scoring any points".

You are correct.
I remember when it happened and have just checked out the details. 1981/82, Rovers v Bradford, 6 players sent off including 4 from Bradford. On 56th minutes Jeff Grayson led his players off. Bradford and Jeff Grayson were heavily punished.

| Do they need to look at a reduced fine for players say under 21? £250 is a big impact for young players on low money, and you might start to see some fringe players thinking is a career in RL worth it if they cop a few fines a season.
