| Quote: Freddie Miller. "Interesting story if your dad was his biggest fan. The player was not English.'"
Just been reading up on him - was before my time I started watching 1975/6 - was he the Freddie Miller who played for the Rabbitohs?
They're the team I most enjoy watching in the NRL , Cody Walker and Latrell Mitchell are seriously talented, wouldn't mind either here at Hull. That is why I was talking about the World Cup- if they bring a squad remotely resembling the strongest they can pick , it'll be a massacre, when you think that if players are picked in their club positions, at full back its either Mitchell, Tedesco or Trebojovic (spelling).
Wow! Surely they'll revert to the origin selections and find a place for all 3. Throw Stephen Crichton, Zak Lomax, Reimus Smith, Jason Saab, Ado Carr, Munster and Hughes into the mix and that is frightening.

I'm all for banter, but his Connor remark is personal, what other coaches would mention an opposition players weakness publicly.
At times (and I thought this when he was at Hull) he needs to think before he speaks'"
To be honest I think its poor judgement from Radford and its not the first time. I'd have thought he'd have just got his head down and gone about trying to turn things around at Cas as they have looked truly awful and akin to us under him other than the two cup wins. The Cas fans certainly arent happy with what they seen nor does it seem some of their own players. Either way its just cheap jibes and hopefully BH, Connor and the rest of the team will have the last laugh come 5pm on Sunday.

| Can’t see any banter in that article. Radford says he sees a lot of plays he put into place at FC!!!! Maybe last season when Sneyd was here, 5 drives and a kick, it’s all either of them are capable of. As far as his comments regards Jake, I’ll take what he does at their end, pretty sure it will be more then they do against him at our end, he catches the ball in the air better than most and that’s the biggest threat they have. As I said last week, I met some Cas fans before their game last Friday and all said “Radford’s under pressure now” and interestingly, they also said they should have signed either Gale or Sneyd!!!! Hopefully tear them a new one, Sunday.

| Liam Watts isn't looking like the prop we sold, could that be the Radford effect? It is all well and good saying they've resolved the problems they had at Hull but the feelings that this provoked, in the player and the sentiment carried over, by the coach don't simply vanish and I'd imagine there is a deal of resentment, both ways, which must affect the player and is this why he is looking so poor this year? On his day, Watts is the best prop in SL, certainly I thought so when he was with us and I was gutted to lose him. Could we get him back I wonder?

I think the issue Cas have is the same issue we with Radford as Head Coach in that he still seems very much stuck in his old ways, which was fine for the cup runs we had but no good for week in week out consistently high performances as we saw with our league form which was worse than the peaks and troughs under Gentle not withstanding the winless streaks.
I will be eternally grateful for the two Cups wins he helped bring but in all honesty looking at things objectively it seems more the teams we had in 16 & 17 were a bigger part behind those wins than Radford as the Coach.
Lets be honest there were rumours of unrest amongst some senior players while at Radford was still the coach so it may well be that some of the Cas players are not too impressed but that is thankfully Cas' problem as we are hopefully now finally turning the corner since the days of 5 drives & a kick an dour rugby with the same old dirge week in week out.

| I did notice when they played against Rovers they used the same tap penalty move (on the 10) that we used for the last few years (shaping to move left then quickly switching it back for a crash ball to the centre). It didn't look half as good with Cas doing it as it used to when we did it.

| Scott out for 12 weeks, that's a real shame, I'm sure he got injured last year at Cas when he was having a good game.

| To much being made about Radders. Goodness me have you played the game. The bloke has his faults but he's a good bloke who speaks his mind. To many take it to heart. Typical paper news trying to whip up a storm. Watts wasn't even starting for cas last year. IMO don't need him back. Radford had his faults who doesn't? Time to move on

That's a big shame for Scott as he was looking quite comfortable in the centres and against Salford was having a great game until he to leave the field. Fingers cross for a speedy recovery for him.
Carlos likely to be out for another 2-3 weeks too according to BH.

Not much is being made about him, just speculating and commenting on his recent remarks, we moved on last year but we are allowed to pick the bones of what is said , should we feel like it as it is a topic for conversation and nobody said he's not a good bloke to my knowledge. The remark about Watts coming back was firmly tongue in cheek and at his age, we've already had his best years in a black and white shirt.
Shame for Cam Scott, would have done his confidence the world of good to get a run in a side that was in form and winning games (if we beat Cas). Mau and Savellio back will help and allow Griffin to play centre, with possibly Carlos fit, although I wouldn't risk him if it is a bit touch and go, promote Wynne back to the first team, if the reported attitude problem is resolved. I like him, he does have a bit of mongrel in him and rarely looks out of place.

| Quote: hull2524 "Wynne to centre?'"
think most of us would agree with that but something seems to have gone on with him having been left out last week when his performances merited his inclusion at centre.
McIntosh looked comfortable last week in the centre so i wouldnt mind leaving him there and bringing Mitch in on the wing.
Should have a strong bench for a change
