Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?: |

Around about 19 would be my guess.

First player to sign for either Hull or Rovers from the COHA, that wasn't ring fenced.
We also have a Fijian on trial which is interesting as we don't have a non fed place available.

| RE the young lad, lets not get carried away, we heard similar about Harry Tyson-Wilson plus the young Hull lad who spent time with Leeds Rhinos.

I know there's salary cap exemptions for those who haven't played RL before, is there such a rule for non-fed places?

Agreed it's getting hard to big up players, particularly halbacks and backs.

I don't think so.
I'd expect him to sign for Doncaster and play for them for a year and see how he goes a bit like Liam Harris

Any info on this trialist - what position does he play?

From looking at the Saracens 7's highlights, he is a winger

It would be nice to see a winger come in with genuine pace, if this guy has it and impresses, but if someone is leaving to free up a non-fed spot then I think we should be going for a forward and looking at a fed player if we're after a new winger.

| Wonder if we have any genuine interest in Kyle Amor?

The trialist is either Vulikijapani or Ratu Naulago.
Naulago seems to have the build for rugby league so probably him.
Looks to be a wing/centre and has pace

Is he better than Taylor? Definitely not.
Is he better than Green, Bowden and Paea? In my opinion no, so therefore he wouldn't make the first 17.
Is he the wrong side of 30 and would he limit game time for Masi and Bienek (two players with potential to be very good a few years down the track)? Yes and yes.
Wouldn't touch him personally.
There is a reason why Saints are getting rid. And before anyone tells me how far ahead of us Saints were. 1. How are we supposed to catch them up if we are signing their cast offs? And 2. Despite being runaway LLS winners Saints pack wasn't all that impressive anyway, Thompson had an exceptional season and carried that front row. So if Amor is seen as the most expendable member of what is, barring a couple of players, a fairly mediocre pack, what does that say about him?
