Karen's point is valid, it can't be means tested, but shouldf be in line with state pension age.
I know a lot of pensioners on way more than the fixed pension.'"
I did, see my post above, I answered it a few posts back.

You obviously won't answer my question about over 60s still in work getting a concession so I guess we'll just leave it there.'" Because it is based on your age, nothing else.
It's been 60 for as long as I can remember, when most men would still have been working and most women retired.

all you did was generalise about fixed incomes.
Amyway, it's 60, wether you or I agree with it isn't going to change anything.

I think that's the problem too, it's 60 in some circumstances and 65 in others. It needs a blanket change agreeing and the state age of receiving pension payments seems the easiest and fairest.

I said that a few posts back too. Since the DDA came in most clubs have a universal policy of disabled person pays full price, carer free. It never used to be though and got confusing around the different clubs.

Which is understandable! It's like Kieran being an adult at most clubs yet being able to buy a young adult ticket at others!

I didn't generalise about anything so I really don't understand what you mean? The reason why concessions are given to OAP's and the disabled is because they generally have no other earning potential. To means test every concession would be for every applicant to show bank accounts etc and that just isn't possible. Bumpy originally said there is a significant level of fraud to age related concessions, but I don't see how there could be because as he knows, any concession has to show proof and in fact has to show proof every ticket bought if you don't have a seasons pass. I know of at least one person who doesn't have a pass and has to show the club his concession proof every game.

| Quote Hull White Star="Hull White Star"I already answered it, its not my fault if you didn't read it, but for your benefit I'll say it again.....they state pension is £125.95 a week. Most OAP's have no other means of earning any other income, ie thats why they call it having a fixed income. I suppose you'll be having a pop at the disabled next who are in an almost identical situation
'"
Oh come off it. I'm not 'having a pop'. That was you, calling people 'clueless' for disagreeing with you.

Indeed, gone are the days when a dad can lift his "4" year old son over the turnstile only for him to puff his little chest out and announce to the world that he wasn't 4 but 6!!!

Nope, it was me calling Bumpy for being clueless on how concessions work and why and him saying there is significant fraud on age related concessions.
