Good result but by the grace of Saints losing Walsh and us having much the better discipline, thought we were lucky tbh.
Forcing the pass a few times and some wrong options cost us dearly but attacking platform quite good overall and the dissalowed try would have been amazing.
Defensive line was awful just waiting for Saints to run at us and relying on brute strength in the tackle which is working...just!

Ref was shocking on keeping sts onside.
Thought Yeaman & Tally were quiet, Carlos would be better in the centres and Houghton, Mini and esp Taylor were fantastic throughout plus honorable mention to Sneyd Ellis & Thompson.

I said to my son a few weeks back our line speed at certain points in the game is slow, plus we back pedal out wide & let teams make more metres then they should be, I believe we have not been at our best from start to finish in games except for the saints cup game. Which makes us unbeatable when we are at our very best, good time been an FC fan with potentially better times ahead.

Twisting it again I made a point how important Ellis was to you as we didn't score a point when he was on the pitch but instead of having a dig at us enjoy your win and stop obsessing

Just got home. That was a game and a half. I'm knackered.

Have to watch the match back but on the face of it we had two tries chalked off that seemed perfectly OK where Saiints had one allowed that was definitely no try and one that was marginal at best. Hewer is a poor excuse for an SL ref and not helped by one TJ who seemed to be at a different game to everyone else.

That said, we made it a LOT harder than it needed to be with some poor decision making and variable defence.

Still - a win is a win and we go clear at the top again. Long may it continue.

I'm much happier when we push the pass, even when it's not on, even when it's a dangerous area of the pitch, even when it's early in the tackle count. We're just so much better in general when we play like that, as the two seperate bits of the Rovers away game showed. So I didn't mind Manu's offload or any of it really.

I wasn't as nervous as I was at Catalans H or a few before that. I just thought we'd win, all the way through, even at half time when we were behind. I'd love to see the replays but we've had a couple of tries questionably disallowed and their one before half time looked very suspect to me so chalk one of theirs off and give us two more and there's a different complexion on the scoreline.

Playing well, winning well, great to watch, getting over the line even when not at our best. Such a relief after so many years of five drives and a sht kick.

Both our tries were correctly chalked of for forward passes called by touch judges but Hewer allowed thiers even though the touch judge stood his ground calling the forward pass, the dozy sod said FC had played the ball backward

In what way have I backtracked just repeating what I said number 6 had me mistaken for someone else my comment was a compliment after all
