| Quote: Mr. Zucchini Head "So one poor performance and Naughton should be dropped, even though he's played great since Easter? No issues with Michaels playing if thats what happens, and as you say he does have pace, but for me Talanoa is an automatic selection, and of the other two Naughton has performed the better this year.
In this one I think I'd fill the starting pack with the 5 biggest guys we have, knock them about a bit, and then bring on a couple of more mobile guys to exploit their heavy legs.
Shaul
Naughton
Fonua
Yeaman
Talanoa
Pryce
Sneyd
Taylor
Houghton
Watts
Pritchard
Manu
Bowden
Green
Washbrook
Minichiello
Thompson'"
Its unfortunate for any player to be dropped after having a quiet game like Naughton did at Wakefield and has been pointed out moving wings didnt help him, but
Radford is in the position of replacing a player who does not perform as we know they can, thats why i think Michaels will play probably more for his defence and work carrying the ball out of defence.
Its the same for Dean Hadley( unless he is injured ) very unfortunate not making the initial squad but having this large squad it certainly keeps players on their toes, although in saying that he does have his favourites .

| Washbrook wasnt much cop at Leeds and didnt do much against Wakey either. He's essentially a cross between a half and a hooker, his tackling isn't that good and misses too many or is third man in, his passing is pretty good but this 'work rate' that some espouse isn't reflected in what I've seen nor his stats.
Against Catalans I'd much rather have Hadley in to bolster the subs bench and have Green and Thompson too.
as a coach 'favourite', or should that be friend, it's unlikely he'll be dropped despite being poor in the last two games

| If Radford has his favourites and is picking them rather than selecting players on form (which he isn't) then it appears to be working this season given that we are fourth and two point off the top spot.

You just cannot resist to have a dig at Radford ,your favourite dig is pathetic ,have your opinion thats fine ,if you think players are not good enough fine, but why bring it back to Radford??

| Quote: bonaire "Sorry Dave but Naughton was non existent at Wakefield.
Michaels to come back in for me.
Dont understand why you dont think Michaels has speed. He is definately one of the fastest in the squad and his work rate as a winger second to none'"
Why was Naughton none existent? Because he didn't get the ball as we rightly attached there weaker side.
Micheals is too slow off the mark, he doesn't have the zip or skill that Naughton has, there has been a couple of times early in the season when Micheals had the chance to score, but was too slow, Naughton would have scored them.
Naughton can score try's out of nothing, Micheals is steady and the safe option, but Naughton is the future and should play.

Played last week and was terrible, great going forward, but very weak defensively.

| Washbrook deserves a place in the 17, I value the coach who has us in fourth position than a Radford nocker to be honest. Pathetic. Agree we need Naughton's pace but was caught out on the right a tough decision on the right between him and Michaels.

| Obviously Bumpy is struggling to have digs at Radford at the moment, so has to find someone to direct his criticism at. Unfortunately, it's Washy.
Some people are just plain negative and look for the bad in everything, they have to get their 'fix' and put something/someone else down, whilst justifying it as them being realistic rather than pessimistic.
It's a shame there's people like that, and a bigger shame that Bumpy found this site to troll on, but best just to ignore his ramblings.

Swap Taylor for Green, and that's how I'd line up to. Can see your thinking for Taylor on bench though

| TBH I'm not overly concerned how we line up at the moment, we have a squad of players that is more than capable of performing against anyone. The attitude is spot on and they appear to believe in themselves. So if it's Naughton or Micheals I'm confident that either will do the job asked of them.

Taylor was interviewed after the game and sounds like leading from the start is a bit of a badge of honour for him - prefers it to being on the bench. Made some fantastic carries against Wakey.
