No Ellis next week is a blow! But I think he would have got 2 without the early plea.'"
It's a shame as there's a noticeable difference between the Hull team when he plays and when he doesn't. It gives someone else a chance though, and means he'll be fresh for Saints in the cup.

| Probably because the club know they have no chance of using logic to prove it wasn't reckless. Howcan you prove it WAS reckless would be my question, just by there being contact to the head, ..utterly ridiculous.
Take Catalans Stewart 'dangerous throw', deliberately lifted leg and only by luck did the tackled player land safely and gets off with caution for technique...lifting a leg in that manner is the definition of reckless and has known devastating consequences.
It's like being punished more for nudging a back bumper when someone goes to pull away then stops abruptly than drink driving and not hurting anyone...
The disciplinary is and has not being fit for purpose for a long long time.
On field decisions need to be reviewed there and then in any case as the team offended against invariably recieves no benefit.

| Makes sense to take EGP with the cup game coming up, but a big blow. Hadley in for me.

The stats don't lie!
Hadley has completed 99 tackles and missed 4 which is just under 96% success rate. Thompson has 199 tackles and 16 misses for just under 92%.
Not sure how many minutes each has played during the games though, as there may be some correlation to fatigue etc.

He could pleaded not guilty instead of his early guilty plea, or he could have had he not admitted his evil deed, if you feel that strongly about the injustice he's received why don't complain about the bollox decision the panel have clearly made, I'm sure you'll meet with more success than you have with the Wakey fans.

| He was always going to get a ban when former FC fan carter started whining on social media. I hope our owner never stoops so low as to whine or start challenging fans on twitter

I'm a fairly big fan of Thompson in all honesty, his attacking style is big factor in this. A big-ish player with good speed and a wicked step with an eye for a gap. When he's on form he can be freakishly good in my opinion. Yes defence isn't as good as Hadley, but don't think Hadley offers anything in attack. Plus JT can play anywhere in the pack barring hooker and cover centre if need be.
Good option to have off the bench.

Is this your first experience of the disciplinary process?
Nobody contests a 1-2 match ban if they have an EGP available, no matter how innocent or guilty they may be. The panel are incompetent and biased in equal measure and even if you have overwhelming evidence to prove your innocence they'll most likely have made up their mind before you even present it.
It's a bollox decision, but just another in a long line of bollox decisions made by a panel that hasn't been fit for purpose in decades. If you don't play for one of the favoured clubs you'll always get the $hite end of the stick. If I still got wound up by these jokers I'd have died of apoplexy years ago.

Where's he done that?
An EGP is not an admission of guilt BTW.

It's kind of in the name
I know what you mean though. No point risking a 2 game ban when you guarantee the one.

| It is bollox. You see worse than that in most games and it's only ever a penalty. Has anyone ever seen a player red carded for something like that?
