| I don't think there's any question that gates are down, it's pretty clear they are and it's a concern. If we want to maintain this level of squad the team has to perform and the fans have to respond. So far they've done well, but we need a performance against Wigan. I don't know about the 9662. 13.8k though is the reported attendance for 2010, so if the 9662 is actuals, the comparator needs discounting to be, well, comparable. Reductions have impacted a lot of clubs. Hull KR for example had 8000 members in 2009, now down to 5000 apparently. It's a shame, especially when you've gone to the expense of building a whole new stand and everything.
We did run a 2 for £5 limited offer for the Salford game. We didn't have a giveaway though, or very publicly target a record crowd then realising you were going to fall short have to make up another "milestone" like being the "best crowd on a Sunday afternoon in February vs Castleford with Andy Bell in an anorak singing a tune forever associated with a record final nilling".
Anyway, it was encouraging that AP referenced in his programme notes on Thursday that membership numbers have increased over the last few weeks and are now comparable to last season's.
Back on topic, looks like we'll finish the round 5th, or 4th if Huddersfield beat Widnes, with the second best points difference after Warrington, and a game in hand on last year's bottom 4. Wigan game is going to be an important one.

Pretty sure you just ran a record crowd for a Thursday Gimmick.
Sound like Pearson will be bringing back the 10K barometer thingy with the extra membership.
Haven't rovers increased their membership for the 3rd year running, Whilst FCs have declined? Pearson stated they would be down 1000 on last season. Do you have an update on the increase in recent weeks above the 5,700?

Average in 2011 12,427
Average in 2015 11,173
Even if you meant five years it's down about 2,500 not 'more than 4,000'.
Still in the top four averages in Super League and we may go past Saints this season.'"
Good stats!
Shame some people never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Only four Super League clubs were able to post increases on their regular season average attendance in 2014, as overall crowds took a tumble in Super League compared to last season, which was also a season in which almost all clubs registered a decline in attendances.
The attendance figures for each club in the 2014 regular season (2013 in brackets):
Bradford Bulls: 6,891 (8,575)
Castleford Tigers: 7,068 (6,292)
Catalan Dragons: 7,667 (8,179)
Huddersfield Giants: 6,335 (6,374)
Hull FC: 11,159 (11,680)
Hull Kingston Rovers: 7,848 (7,495)
Leeds Rhinos: 15,068 (15,200)
London Broncos: 1,295 (2,200)
Salford Red Devils: 4,738 (3,17icon_cool.gif
St Helens: 12,120 (11,235)
Wakefield Trinity Wildcats: 4,351 (7,973)
Warrington Wolves: 9,870 (10,633)
Widnes Vikings: 5,635 (6,015)
Wigan Warriors: 14,102 (14,545)

| I'm not sure where you're going with this. I appreciate Hull KR have increased average attendances in the last three seasons, that's not new information and it has to be a good thing. But you're keen to disregard the longer term perspective whilst comparing it adversely to FC's. What was your average in 2010 vs 2015?
We know you had 8000 members in 2009 because it was posted on your club's website. This year it's, what, 5000? You may be satisfied with tiny year on year increases but the trajectory depends on your starting point and maybe you're being selective in an Andy Bell Sunday anorak way. The reality is many clubs are struggling for attendances. If Hull KR are comfortable that 6500 against a Top 4 opponent is where you need to be to support the full cap squad you have then that's excellent news for you. Think we're less so this side, but the consequence of previous regimes which we're working hard to address through recruitment and participating in the U23s.
It's encouraging that you and your friends got your mojo back on Thursday after an extended absence coinciding with some rather obvious manifestations of your own club's inadequacies. "Heroes with cowards' legs" is how I think Spike Milligan would describe you.

| Rovers' average in 2010 was 8234, last year it was 8025. Interesting that in 2010, though they had eight attendances over 8000 compared to just two last season.
Good on them on increasing their average from 2013 to 2015 by 7%, although 2013 was 10% down on 2010, of course.
I should also point out that in 2013 which was a nadir, they only had one attendance lower than they got on Friday night against St Helens.

You are much better at this than Mrs B.

| Accept it Keith, you'll always be the "small" club in this city.

Mrs B taught me all I know.
BTW in retrospect I guess Neil Hudgell should've given another 3,000 tickets away. Not only would you have avoided having one of your lowest half dozen or so Super League attendances [happy 10th season anniversary] but it would also, of course, boosted your end of season average by a couple of hundred.

You can never say always. Mr Pearsons pre season panic about stay away fans killing the club just might be an insight into his financial pressures. A quick search on Duedil shows that he does not own any other large companies of note that can help to fund the clubs loses. I wonder just how deep his pockets are? It wasn't that long ago the FC were take over by Kath Hetheringtons Gateshead.

| I thought all this attendance crap was left to William eve on the VT at the end of the day we had a low attendance on Friday which was always going to happen because 1. The way we've been playing 2. It was on sky 3. City were also playing at the end of the day Hull are always going to have an average of 2/3000 more fans than Rovers always have always will its just the way it is

Thanks Frankie. If you could just educate Keith, it would save a lot of time on here.

Selective memory again I see
Another thread was started by someone having a ticket to sell a couple of days before the game.
YOU said`good luck with that as they are selling tickets for £2.50'
It was pointed out that you are wrong again as that time had passed.
You then went quiet (for once)

| Widnes dominating Huddersfield at half time and well worth their 22-6 lead apparently, so we'll stay in 5th. Brough going to Leeds?
