young men, rugby and beer an ideal set that leads to ridiculous levels of bravado, egging each other on and displays of machismo. clubs that don't have strict drinking policies in place are in effect turning a blind eye to the facts that rugby players are more likely to have or be involved in drink related issues than the general populous.

Bowden is a young guy and he'll learn from this, not trying to stick up for him and for what he did really but sacking him would be stupid, maybe removing his license for more than 20 months would be better and sending him to a few meetings would be a better option.

Agree 100%,drink driving is a potential killer and the minimum ban should be 5 years and upwards.Maybe if this was the case finally people may asses the risk a tad more and if it stops a few drink driving it would be a step in the right direction. |

So one a year for the past three years (thats only players 4 in last three years with the chairman)....plus others without too much thought. I think that is a problem for an organisation with a playing staff of 30 max......don't you oh one eyed moral less one.
It's amazing how blind loyalty can be.

If all you can thinking of doing is running over to your rivals message board to attempt to gain some one-upmanship on an issue like drink driving, it's probably time to re-assess your priorities in life. |

I'm glad you think drink driving is funny and some of you hide behind rugby rivalry to dismiss the issue.
There have been a fair number of sensible replies but some of you must be children (I hope so as if some are adults I despair).
Yawn.....went another reply...really some of the people I treat find it boring doing their months if not years of rehab recovering from the actions of drink drivers.....those that survive of course.....of all ages children to pensioners.
.......happy birthday Mr Bowden went the club website......not the club and Mr Bowden wish to apologise etc etc not a bit of it...nada nothing never happened.....a F#cking sad indictment of your organisation and its leader. I let some people's posts be a judgement of them.
