| IMO the short turnarounds against fully rested opponents made it a difficult task for Rovers last night and yourselves tonight. Even more so given the hot conditions.
To make matters worse Rovers found themselves up against the strongest Salford line up for months and you found yourselves up against a Wakefield team rejuvenated by Brian Smith and some new signings.
Hull started very strong tonight and looked several classes above Wakefield but after that Hull's intensity dropped off considerably and from then on Hull looked laboured.
I wouldn't be surprised if we both struggle again at the weekend. This idea of making teams play in the challenge cup a round early and reschedule a SL game midweek has to be looked at again.

The scheduling is crazy, but the crucial thing is Rovers still won! And we've known about this fixture issue for weeks.

I thought we were beyond awful after 20 minutes. The annoying part of the rescheduling is that there was a golden opportunity to reschedule when the Aussie teams were over.

But we're not one of the big boys so our concerns are not those of the RFL.

Surely it's our own fault for missing the top eight last season?

That would have been sensible tho. We'll get hammered on Sunday. You have z slightly better chance as at least wakey have played as well. Complete madness to schedule it like this.

It certainly was. My point is the same as Mrs. B's in that these catch-up matches could have been played much earlier in the season.

Difficult to say what would be better for us now, scraping the 8 by a miracle and getting hammered every week, or playing the middle 8 with an opportunity of respectability but risk of relegation. Brilliant.

The middle 8s will be the better spectacle but I'd still rather watch your lot in them then ours. Far too twitchy a time.

The scheduling is easy to sort out. When the World Club challenge games are played those teams in the early round of the CC cup play their games. Then when the early cc games are played those in the WCC can play their outstanding fixture. Not really rocket science.

Yes but we're perfectly capable of doing what's known as a 'Westerman'.
