Your obviously CORRECT as usual! Keep talking like you know everything! Hows Team Radford working for you at the minute.

An attacking coach will look at the team as a whole, working on set plays, players roles, option runners, suppoting the ball etc. He wouldn't and shouldn't be dealing with specific skills like how to pass a ball correctly.'"
So..
What happens if a player's technique ,ie speed & accuracy is not up to standard?
Who would be responsible to improve this facet of their game?
It shouldnt be down to the player(s) , it should be -IMO.. a coach to recognise that the skill level,is not up to the standard required.

Come on surely anyone who knows the game can see Shaul isn't a hooker. Let's suppose his tackling is up to it (I don't think it is fwiw but I'll give him benefit of the doubt), being a decent hooker is about far more than just being able to run from dummy half. You need to have a good and varied passing game, you need to make decisions, call plays, preferably be able to kick a bit and to be able to do all of those things effectively you need good game awareness.
I think Rankin could potentially play there. A lot of skills that come from being a half back are transferable to hooker. Shaul would be hopeless there imo.

Not saying hes Hooker at all, just saying I'd have him on the bench rather than Cunningham, and if he was to spell Houghton, I'm pretty certain he could cause damage to a tiring defence and follow a few simple instructions. Which im certain would be simple coming from Radford, its not like we've loads of technical attacking plays

It is down to coaching yes, but an attacking coach wouldn't be coming in to work one to one with a player on something like that, it's basics. Jamie Shaul knows how to pass, I'm certain about that, it just needs practice in game situations. The more involvement he has in running plays in training etc the better it will become.

So what about when he comes on to spell Houghton and we find ourselves at the wrong end of the field? We've just defended two repeat sets and have to clear our lines and put a good kick in with a defence desperate to pin us in our own 20 and we are rudderless.
Hooker is a very specialist position, and even if he's only going to be playing there for 10 minutes he needs the basic skill set to play there. He doesn't have it.

Let Rankin or Sneyd or Pryce sort it, Its a simple game, don't try complicating it, We need flair in the team, Shaul as it, Cunningham doesnt, Im sick of watching the same old boring e, If Shauls fit, I want him in the 17, and not at the expense of Rankin

| Nothing reported, but maybe he's struggling, like Holdsworth did, after being caught by Morley.

Did not Tony Smith take Thackeray to one side to learn him how to catch and pass a ball.
Then totally ruin the best second row /prop about at that time, after pouching him from us [alla Uncle Kath] let him go the next year, and never the same player.

| Rankin keeps his spot to keep Shaul out. Westerman is also fit so he shall be playing and I've also seen that Howarth will be playing which means Cunningham should be injured/unfit. That's what James Smailes said on Twitter earlier after a conversation with Andy Last.
