Slight anomaly there. "Rupert" and "I think" in the same sentence. Can't be true!!!

I agree. Keeping Rankin may block the progress of one of our other youngsters too so if he wants to go id let him.
Always said him and Miller were stupid signings and nothing has ever happened to change that. Enthusiasm alone simply isn't enough to warrant team selection

Good effort from your boys against a better looking London Broncos outfit than was playing in SL last season.

From the radio sounded like Miller played really well against the Dobs today. Maybe better because he has Tim Smith to take the strain.

Less of a goldfish bowl? Not as much pressure on his young shoulders? Wakefield playing style less regimentally restrictive than ours was last season?
Even Brett was on the scoresheet for Whitehaven today.
Best of luck to the pair of them.

It's the way the cookie crumbles.
I saw potential along with others but you've also gotta understand Radders was under pressure from the get-go and I definitely understood why he went for more experience. (Horne/Azza).
I actually think Seymour was treated far more shabbily by Gentle (and AP). He was scapegoated after our first game of that particular season at Headingley when we lost in Ellis in warm up.

| Think we signed miller too soon, not experienced enough and no experienced halfback partner to help him out, no offence to horne but he was injured quite a bit while Jacob was here.
Would love to have seen how miller and pryce would have gone but more than happy with sneyd and pryce

I think that's a very fair comment. The fanfare and emphasis/importance pinned on him won't have helped, either. Playing second fiddle to an established organiser could do him the world of good at Wakefield.
Miller may yet develop into a good player, but I think we were at the stage where we couldn't wait long enough for it to happen with the sort of money he was apparently on.

| If Miller had a decent kicking game I think that alone would have been enough for us to keep him. He'll do OK in a side with Tim Smith running the plays.

Hull FC remain hopeful Jordan Rankin will sign a new contract at the club despite the player's desire to return to Australia.
Rankin was quoted in an Australian newspaper last week where he expressed his wish to find a deal with an NRL side which would allow him to return home.

If he ultimately wants to return to the NRL but has no offers then I think Hull's suggestion of a one year extension is a good idea.

To be fair though, the guy was an absolute crackpot before he even arrived..... I warned all the "fc can do nowt wrong" brigade that he wS a complete liability, and a waste of a qouta spot and money and that was proven correct
