Seriously both sides can take positives from that , both to make the 8 hopefully can we have mini chedders please'"
Dixon reminded me of Eden, great going forward but awful defensive FB play.

| Question. Beginning of the first half when Paea (who looks in grape shape and an absolute beast) made a fantastic run dragging defenders what seemed like forever. He was still moving and didn't look like stopping. The red stopped him and told him to ptb. What is the actual ruling on that?

If he's making progress, the ref keeps his trap shut

Quote: A unknown superstar "Upright (b) when he is held by one or more opposing players in such a manner that he can make no further progress and cannot part with the ball.
Succumbing (c) when, being held by an opponent, the tackled player makes it evident that he has succumbed to the tackle and wishes to be released in order to play the ball.'"
Sounds like (c) allows the ref to do anything.

| For those who went who played the majority of 2nd half in the forwards? I'm a bit worried that some of our replacement forwards lack a bit of aggression. We have to get away from this drop in intensity when the forward rotation starts. The idea is that we up our standards across the board. Did HTW play ? He showed some aggression last week.

All the forwards played some part of the 2nd half except Ellis. HTW wasn't in the squad. Main problem was penalties, dropped Balls and we let Kelly play.
Need to improve on defending cross field kicks.
Also not sure if it was a coincidence or not, but Rovers really got a roll on with Houghton off the field.

I assume you mean Bobby? I think most of the second half we had Thompson at 13 and Mini/Hadley second row. Cunningham played a decent chunk of the second half at 9, then Houghton came on. We finished the game with Howarth, as, I think, loose man.
The props were just all rotated except for Watts who went off injured (arm injury of some description). He was having a great game prior to that too.

Howarth played at hooker, looked really slow. I'd start Cunningham next week.

Didn't do much wrong for me, but Dave's right we lacked a little energy when Houghton was off. But that was around the time that both Ellis and Westy went off too so could be as much down to them as Houghton.

Howarth threw an awful pass out of DH on the last when we were attacking, but I can't remember him getting in there much more than that. I thought Houghton was on the field until the end because when Sa made a break and we kept it alive it stopped at Houghton, and I think there were only 5 or 6 minutes left at that stage.

I'm a big fan, so watched him closely, did well IMO, ran well a couple of times and defended well. Needs more game time to prove he is ready.
