Quote: UllFC "Given how well he is playing, i'm not sure why we are looking for another outside back next year. Yes Yeaman doesn't have long left at this level, but a backline of Lineham, Sa, Yeaman & Talanoa isn't that bad for next year IMO.

Hopefully we can tie Lancaster down to a deal as a future prospect and we'll also have Arundel back. Then there's the Ben Crooks debate, which has been done to death, but I hope we see him back in Black & White next year.

Personally i'd rather see another impact prop brought in, even though the pack were excellent last night. A Sam Moa style 'project' would add something to the side IMO'"

If Crooks goes we need another centre. You can't fault Yeaman's effort and I'm happy for him to stay at the club as cover, but he's not got the quality we need if we want to push towards the top 4.

Other than that I think the squad looks okay.

plus your game plan was spot on. And you kicked really well all game. pinning us on our own ten pretty often. for some reason we just never got going but credit to Hull. if we'd have played with the same effort we put in against Wigan then who knows. its a shame both teams can't do it often enough.

Quote: Dave K. "Glad to see Talonoa finally getting some praise, he works so hard for the team and is strong going forward, he is also a good finisher and strong defensively.

I wish he had more pace as he would be even better, but he is a very good value for money winger.'"

Said earlier in the thread (or may have been a different one, can't remember!) that he has become one of my favourite players this year.
I'd honestly never heard of him before we signed him, just really like his attitude and willingness to work hard.

Quote: Mrs Barista "I got back to the car at 10pm and listened for 25 minutes. First up a commiseration interview with Chris Chester. A few texts. An interview with Radford, opening up with the Bradford defeat and dwelling on the broader season of "dismay". Then a drawn out session with Keating and Lee Richardson predicting Rovers will bounce back next week. For all the trailers in the week about the derby game itself, there was precious little credit given to an FC side who dominated in all areas thanks to an engine of desire and commitment and a mean-minded pack. We only won because Rovers allowed us to, apparently.'"

I'm sure I heard Gollum sign off with words to the effect of "on a night that ended in defeat for Rovers" or something similar.
Subconsciously, they just can't help themselves.

On the flip side Chesters interview was sublime. He's going to make Radders look like Peter Ustinov over the next three years.

Was it him geeing up the East Stand after one of the tries?
Does a lot of unseen work. Always gets the sets rolling forward.

I'm not sure to be honest as I was sat in the east stand South corner. In the first half he was on the opposite side of the pitch (West) and then second half the other end of the pitch (North).
Rankin was geeing everybody up just before kicking, waving his arms getting everybody on their feet. You can really tell when you watch Rankin (and from reading his tweets) that he loves it here. Always jumping around after a try or a big hit, he was patting the badge during the lap of honour at the end.

I like Rankin a lot. He really seems to want to be here, he wears his heart on his sleeve and is more passionate about the badge than some of the local lads.

Kr are pathetic, then he said the players are not fair to the hard earned paying fans, some of his players won't play for the club again, going to play some young squad players.
