| Great win. Saints had absolutely nothing to offer. Our forwards were brutal in defence.
Still the same old problems when we get into the opposition 20. All 3 trys were barge overs (I didn't actually have a clue if we had scored any of them until the ref gave them) and we didn't look like scoring by any other means. Put Sneyd in that teams tonight and we win by 20. Had enough field position in the second half to bag another 3 trys.
Enough pessimism though, really enjoyed tonight. A good atmosphere and a great tribute to Steve Prescott that made me tear up while the video was playing before the match.
Congratulations to Saints on winning the cup. Thought we may go on to win it after the drop goal!

All men are created equal, some work harder in preseason.

| Abdull a bit quiet tonight, maybe a week too soon for him after getting knocked last week. He's got a massive hand off full stop, never mind for a half .

| That is probably the first time this season that our performance improved during the game and we actually started to show some game management. The support play was largely non existent and that includes in defence; when Wellens scored Horne had hold of Manu and not a single player went to complete the tackle. Nevertheless we found a way to win and not a way to lose so a much better start to the weekend than expected. We'll deserved man of the match for Richard Horne. Well done to the entire team!

| Hard earned and well deserved tonight. We still desperately lack craft (previous poster who said about us barging over is bang on, we have no idea how to open a defence and simply hope to crash through with brute force), but we found a way to bring it home. Doing so in a close game could possibly be the best thing for us.
Strangely impressive that Saints somehow managed to find a worse halfback combination and kicking game than we've had this season.

| Pleasantly surprised that our pack dominated given the strength on paper of theirs. Great effort.

| 2 points is what we needed, as a win is a win & you take any when you're in the position we are, still no completing sets but both sides dropped plenty of ball tonight, well done FC, #COYH.

| Still lack cohesion and attacking flair but it was great to see that enthusiasm and commitment in defence.
A good win, an actual enjoyable game, where's that sort of passion been all season ?
Thought Horne played well and took the line on.

| Enjoyed the game great to see our pack get on top of the opposition. I genuinely thought they'd have done that more often this year. Well done to all good game.

Well it's not like we had a choice in the matter. Our 1,6&7 all out with long term injuries.
By the sounds of if our pack was cack again so that probably didn't matter.

| Similar to the cas game IMO. Plenty of effort and defence good on the whole but saints didn't have the individual class that cas did last week. Still some major issues with our attacking play which won't all be resolved with new halfs but a win we desperately needed.
Thought horne's short kicking game was something we've desperately missed in recent weeks and our last tackle plays were much better and we built pressure more effectively which ultimately won it for us

I will take a positive from that then. Good job that individual class that single handed got Cas back into the game is joining us next season then.

| For the first 10 minutes I feared the worst but we dug in and gradually turned the game. The forwards were immense and the defence was excellent. As the end approached I was strangely confident we would hang on. It was great to go to the KC and enjoy the game for a change.
