It amazes me how quickly people forget what Rankin did against Catalan. The sidestep and pace he showed to score a fantastic try. The bullet pass he fired out to Yeaman for a try and the pinpoint bomb he put in for another.

I'm not giving you the pinpoint kick, the Catalan player dropped it, un opposed and it fell into Lineham's hands.

I'm all for giving him a chance, but he's not been that good the last two games. Can't accept the 'two of the best teams away' argument either, Paea, Westerman, Bowden etc seemed to be able to perform, why should we accept less from anyone else?

So after 3 games you want him dropped?
At that rate we will have no players.
He showed he has the skills. Job for the coaches now is to find out why he was unable to display these skills in two tough away games.
Surely we FC fans are not going to ruin another half back before his career has been given a chance?

Don't wanna have to explain the complexities of each position but paea and Bowden are props. They catch a ball and run hard. A half directs the team, kicks, passes looks to run, looks for timing to release others. All of this when you've moved around the world only weeks earlier is a bit more of a task.
Change halves every 2 three weeks and it's just history repeating
Give him at least half a dozen, especially when he's already shown he has some stuff in his locker like the examples given

Rich Horne seems to be doing ok? The three I mentioned were off the top of my head, below par performances are what they are, regardless of position. Rankin has been anonymous at times, especially at Warrington. He'll probably get longer, and I may be being harsh on him, but all i've seen so far is that he's been good against poor opposition and anonymous against the two decent teams we've played. If you've watched the kid before he signed, there's a pattern. I watched him for the Titans and, mainly their u20's side, he's a FB.

Radford has told Radio Humberside that Heremaia will probably get a start on Friday.

I would use azza at hooker only. Persevere with rankin or play miller.

As an opposition fan I’d be delighted if the teamsheet came out and Heremaia was at 7, that would mean your best weapon of bringing him off the bench into acting half was missing.
Half backs need time to bed in and gel and yes saints got lucky with Walsh, he’s gone into a team playing really well and that is settled in nearly every other position. Equally he could end up like Sammut who had a couple of outstanding games on his introduction into SL but then faded badly to the point where he wasn’t even starting for the bulls.
On the brief views of Rankin I’ve seen he looks more of a 6 than a 7 (I know there is very little difference nowadays) but given time he’ll come good. The last thing he’ll need is dropping after 3 games.

i hope radders doesn`t take any notice of all these amateur coaches,and just gets the job done to the best of his ability.
