| Rankin looks like he could be a good running number 6
Could be the perfect partner for Miller
I guess only time will tell
But they will get my full support while wearing the colours

Watched the highlights of Rankin seems a good player, Just a bit confused is he mainly a halfback or fullback ??'"
He's a fullback, and not a particularly good one at that.
As for him as a 6, Gold Coast played Ashley Harrison there when Sezer got injured this year, says it all really.
But, for balance, the drop down in standard may suit him.
My thought is that after a few years watching the Titans, he's been someone who, while limited, has had chances to break into the first team, but he's error prone. He'll often kick out on the full, drop the ball cold or (at FB) be so far out of position it's unreal. This has stopped him getting a prolonged chance in a team that has really struggled the last few years.

We dropped Danny Brough and played Sione Faumuina. Says it all really.

So your opinion is to mention someone with disabilities?? Just because someone was taking a pop at you. End day most stuff you write is garbage and tbh is boring to look at.. All you do is moan about the team even though where still in pre season. Loyal fans are with the team thick an thin.
As for Rankin, i heard he was a HB/FB??

Your not wrong, Jake adds a touch of truth and reality just like us guys do and he gets ripped apart for it.

Why delete the part of my post were I justify my argument? Is it just so you can attempt a funny rebuttal? Well done you.
I've got no problem with people thinking he might be a success, if they want to try and make informed opinions based on YouTube, then good luck to them. They're usually the same people scapegoating them come June because they have unrealistic expectations.
The kid may be a success over here, he may not. But he needs a lot of improvement and that will take time, he's certainly young enough. But we're not generally a fan base that allows that, are we?

Spot on, nothing wrong with watching a player, making an opinion and sticking to it. Hull fans can be worst in the league aswell for getting on a players back, and usually Aussies, the KC can be poison at times, the moans and groans when McDonnell has the cheek to look for a gap instead of running blindly into the first man is embarrassing, it's like an inferiority complex or something, always accusing someone of not pulling there weight.
As for Rankin specifically, hardly seen anything of him apart from YouTube, but I'd say the best case scenario would be a Luke Dorn type player? I'd be happy with that, I know Dorn made a bit more of an impact in the NRL but there's definitely comparisons there, obviously a talented kid but lacking in some of the basics, but something a bit off the cuff wouldn't be a bad thing in this side in my opinion.
You just know though that some fans will expect him to be the answers to all our halfback problems, and that's not fair, especially as he's struggled to make an impact in first grade in 5 years, and that he's arguably more if a fullback.

Brilliant. Another comparing the Brough of today with the petulant kid of 2006. When will people get over this? Danny Brough did NOT want to play for our club, he was average at best most of the time he was with us (I said most not all) and was so fantastic he proceeded to spend time in the championship after leaving us and was certainly not wanted by any top sides.
As for new signings. I have seen very little of the NRL over the years and certainly don't get my opinions of players from 30 second YouTube clips. Games tend to be played over 80 minutes and with approximately 30 games per club per season, so 5 minutes of highlights is hardly a good yard stick to guage a player.
Lets see what occurs over the coming months. Support whoever pulls on the shirt come February and form an honest opinion once they have settled in after about 10 games.

Think raggytash is referring to the play offs in 2005.
As for him playing in the championship, he along with some of the Castleford team that got relegated in 2006 (McGoldrick as well) opted to stay on to get them promoted again, something like that if I recall.
On Jordan Rankin, seems like another Miller in the sense that he is out of favour in NRL but looks to have potential, so long as he (or whoever we sign) gets here soon the better, like Miller a good pre season with the team will hopefully give us a good structure in attack

My comment was aimed at the poster I quoted who is mates with Radford. If you don't like what I post then put me on ignore. I've never even noticed you so presume you don't post anything of relevance but at least you know what I post.
RL fans isn't a popularity contest so I'll post what I want and continue to support the club financially as I have for over 35 years

I know. I'm sure most posters on here would rather have a cosy little forum like your secret one where no one posts anything negative
