| Quote: Gerrum on side ref "An upgrade on the Tickle of 2013 who had become something of a penalty machine, couldn't pass a ball and is injury prone. Prior to that Danny T has been a great servant to the club both as a 2nd rower and a supreme goal kicker, but the timing of his departure is err timely.
Happy with this signing as mentioned coming from a winning and disciplined culture at Wigan. Welcome to the black & whites Chris.'"
Agree with all this.

Stats show to me that neither player are that good in attack, just read the Wigan thread about him and confirmed what I though, good hard working defensive forward.
Under different circumstances he would be a good signing, but we already have 4 simalar backrow forwards.

I can't see Ellis moving to prop, 13 maybe.
We have Feka, Paea, Watts, Green, Bowden, Johnson, Tyson-Wilson, Wilson.

An average front row, which is really poor considering what we've had over the years.
Compare this to Saints who'll have the best pack in the league next season no doubt.
LMS
Roby
Amor
Manu
Soliola
Wilkin
Masoe
Walmsley
Laffranchi
Jones/Hohaia

Why no doubt? They'll improve but they've only signed 2 players in the pack.

Because Masoe will go well over here imo and Amor showed how good he can be last season. There pack was already good, they've improved it. Even if it is just two players. The only pack who'll come close to them is Huddersfield.
I actually forgot about Huddersfield when I posted the first time, but I still think Saints will have the better pack.

My point was that you said Danny Tickle was [imuch[/i better in attack than Tuson, I said he wasn't, now you've just said neither of them are that good in attack. Which was what I'd thought, I never said Tuson was an attacking 2nd rower.
What's different in Tuson when compared to Westerman, Whiting and Pitts is the aggression that he puts into everything he does. Everything is 100% with a mean face, he won't take a step back. Aggression is something our pack lacks.

Dose any one think Johnson could have a go in the back row?

Masoe could easily revert to his old lazy self, his form only improved after he signed for saints. Don't get get me wrong they've got some talented players and a lot will depend on Walsh but I wouldn't say signing Amor and Masoe will propel them into champions.

You're going the wrong way with this. We need more props not more back rowers! Taking another prop off us won't help

Never said they would be champions and I know you never said I did either before you get that in
what is stopping them going the distance is their backs. Yeah there young and got some good talent such as Swift, Makinson and Percival. They just don't have that special 3/4 player, I'd even say we have two in Lineham and Crooks (or not far off it).
I just think Masoe will be more suited to the game over here, it's a shame they've banned the shoulder charge. He's annihilate players over here
