O'Meley 32-Paea 25 and on slightly less money
Galea 35-Thompson 22 and wont be on as much money.
So looking at that so far.....we have picked up a younger player for both and a vastly younger player with nearly 100 S/L apperances who wont be on as much as what Galea was on,so frees up a bit more on cap and gives us a player with experience in the 2nd row where we will be lacking a bit of depth and experience..we will now have Ellis,Pitts,Whiting,Thompson with Kent and Hadley to come in,plus Westerman can go there and have Whiting at 13...would like us to have a line-breaking 2nd rower but they are few and far between,so another big nasty B'stard of a prop will do.

This is what i think the article alluded to with waiting until the World Cup - we dont have to swap Lynch for Walker, but may do that if we dont think anyone at the WC is worth a bid |

Is Green not a S/R forward, if so it seems you have decent of cover in the back row even without Thompson. |

It claims Lynch has already agreed to a two year contract, sounds like a done deal to me. |

Without Dobson, rovers won't finish in the top 8 next year. |

Know something we dont?...so what will the "new coach" do with Mcdonnell,Arundle,Holdsworth,Miller,Watts,Paea,Azza,Ellis,Pitts,Johnson then as they arent his "own players" either. |

Not convinced by Thompson, but if he replaces galea then it isn't too bad.
Still think it is a mistake to release lynch.

That's a good point people are missing. Rovers' recruitment might currently look better than ours, but their departures also look like much bigger relative losses than ours. |
