Despite some saying they're similar (not particularly in this thread), I think Miller and Holdsworth will make an excellent partnership. Something I've been critical of about Holdsworth is how his distribution to the second pivot is poor, how many times has McDonnell had to check a run? Or the ball gone behind him? This is because he's not a first receiver, Gentle even alluded to him being able to play his natural game now Miller's here. Millers stats for what seemed a solid if not spectacular debut were quite impressive. His inside ball was well disguised and he showed good sleight of hand a couple of times to put people through gaps.
When these two click, we'll start scoring more.

Pretty much agree with all that, true about the first half and defending well, our ability to defend isn't the issue it's the attitude to want to defend, and our lack of ability to hold the ball (again bad attitude and wanting to score from every play) just compounds this issue or vice versa whichever way you look at it. Also agree that the lack of leadership didn't help, which is something Ellis brings and has been one of the best things in my opinion about his game is how he leads and others up their games when he plays.

After watching Super League Show last night.. It was Crookes mistake for there 1st try in second half as he went for Westerman's man an not his own..

I'd rather be in our position than Rovers. Defence is about attitude and mental toughness and getting it right is hard. The attack can be improved providing you have continuity in the pivots.

We need to improve certainly but I think it will come.

Our inability to turn possession into tries has cost us 6 points in 3 games now. Needs sorting and quick

We outscored Cas 6 trys to 5...scored same as wakey and was 1 less today...goal kicks have cost us 4 pts...not trys.

No they haven't. The fact we can't score when we have field position and possession is what costs us. You can't rely on a goal kicker to win you games

So what is a kickers job then?...we outscored Cas..what else are they supposed to do...Leeds outscored warrington but lost on kicks.

Like I say, you can't rely on a kicker to drag you out of a hole. When you're on top in a game you have to convert field position into tries. It's what the best sides do and why they score 40+ points against team we lose to by the odd point or two

Tbh i see your point but in the last 3 games we've been out scored in tries once. Just the conversions that let us down.

And in all 3 we had enough field position to score more tries so that we weren't relying on kicking goals
