| Quote: carl_spackler "I just personally think there's a lot of revisionism/selective opinion amongst many Hull fans once their minds have been made up about a player, and Seymour is simply amongst the latest batch. Yes, at times he's been disappointing (probably even overall), but he has by no means been as awful and as often as is commonly made out, nor has it been entirely his own fault.'"
Correctomundo.
And if Seymour thought, 'fook it now, I'll sit in the West and take my wages' you could hardly blame him to be honest.

I can't disagree. Some players simply will not now win over the fans unless they put in pretty much perfect performances every week for a couple of years, and that's simply not going to happen. Conversely, there are some who get very little criticism even when it would be justified. Sometimes judgement seems to be made remarkably quickly, too.

| Let's hope Seymour does - he's utter gash. One ot two decent games a season is way off what this club should be striving for. Can't believe that some are still trying to promote this guy. The bile spewed about R.Horne has been ridiculous by some on here and plenty of humble pie should have been consumed come Sunday evening.
R.Horne has been crying out to play alongisde an organising general since Cooke left. He's been asked by succesive coaches to provide something he can't. Now with Holdsworth he can just go out there and play a natural game.

| Like many I was convinced that Horne would just be used as a squad player / injury cover this season, but he had a wow of a game. Maybe has a point to prove, maybe it's playing alongside Holdsworth, but a shoe in against Saints on Friday. I know it's only one game but I hope he can keep it going and stay injury free, just maybe we can get through this season before the search for a 7 starts again

Beat me to it. Just watched the highlights back on SLTV, Pitts goes over and the full team went to congratulate Horney.

| He had a fine game & he only had some strapping on one of his arms unlike last season, when if I recall correctly in most games one of his legs was heavily strapped up. Maybe he is in better health this season. I hope so because in Sunday's match he played like he did a few years ago. I do hope that he can maintain this form.
