I don't think the Hull and Bradford case are anything alike, we asked if we could drop out of the top flight and start again from the bottom and Bradford have been asking for conditions keeping them in the top flight so I do not see your point. The bonus for Hull was the simple minded actions of your board to stop this happening and giving uncle Kath ammunition to cut their losses in Gateshead and buy one of the biggest names in RL on the cheap.

The post I originally quoted was saying that Bradford should be 'booted out', following a convo around early payments from the RFL to help them out.

My point was that Hull FC back in 1999 didn't get 'booted out' and also got some help financially via a loan from the RFL (I believe).

That's all.

Plenty of other clubs have also received financial help in that time from the RFL, something I completely support.

I genuinely wasn't talking specifically about the merger, the club did what it had to do. Some of the defense mechanisms kicking in upon seeing a Rovers fan write '1999' are brilliant though.

From the RFL/SLE. I'm not sure if it was definately a loan (which is why I put 'I beleive' in the last post), or was money given to the club following the m****r. Either way, the club got some help - which is the point I was making.
