| Quote: Chris71 "Looking at it in perspective apart from some stumbling performances and some shocking ones, Gentle has still improved on previous seasons and we have qualified for the play offs with games to go (not just scraped in them), beaten Rovers x 2 should have been 3, beaten Leeds for first time in years. All this with a team that was signed by the previous regime and clearly not good enough. We have had players who have come in mid season and players leave mid season, a catalogue of injuries with little or no cover (due to inadequacies from years poor team management/recruitment previously). plus we have seen more academy players in the 17 this season than in the last 5/6 years.
It has been a momumental transistional period from pre season and during the current season but yet we are still in the play off places. It has become clear some players either are not too bothered as they are moving or just can't hack it.
So even with all the issues we have still improved on what we have done in the last few seasons. I am sure Gentle can take this club forward and will not stand for performances like Saturday night.'"
Spot on IMO. Yes, we've had some performances that were lower than we would have expected, but the opposite is also true. It's the nature of a disrupted and transitional side to be inconsistent, we just have to hope that improvements we have made are the things that stick long term and regularly.

| Saturday was bad, really bad but I expect a massive performance against Bradford.
I thought I'd watch it again just to see if it really was as bad as I remembered but the only way I could stomach it was to run the Benny Hill sound track over it with a couple of BONG'S, CRASH, BANG, WHOLLOP'S and the odd cycle horn.
My final verdict:Best forgotten.

Respect if you actually did do that

| Quote: Mrs Barista "Good to see you back, Babness, been a while. Perhaps understandably since your detailed critique of both sides' first half of the season fixtures and how Rovers greater proportion of home games in the second half would inevitably even things up and see Rovers finish above FC. That went well.
Jam tomorrow, fair call, we've had it for years. But it could be worse. We could be further down the table. We could have a board talking of making significant cuts, of making backward steps. We could have our premium academy breakthrough player having a dialogue breakdown with the chairman as he can't see the potential at the club. A question. Hull will likely finish 7th this year, Rovers 8th. Where do you think each will finish next season, and why?'"
FC 6th
Wakey 8th (this year)

I'm surprised that squad is costing the full cap.

I'm more surprised that with the players he's signed their going to save half a million next year.

that was my immediate thought also, my guess is Dobson and Green are both on massive wages as has been rumoured a lot, a few others must be on more than they're worth too
