Like I said Finch is a great player and regularly runs the show, would be a brilliant signing for us only downside is his age. But someone like Finch I don't think that it should stop us this time around.
Seymour is getting abit of stick, but imo he has done good and we shouldn't be looking to get rid. We finally have a 7 who can string more than 2 games together, isn't held together by tape and has a good kicking game etc. He's 27 and had multiple half back partners. Been a good signing for me and look forward to seeing him for atleast a couple more seasons with Hull FC.'"
Seymour has already been injured twice and we're only 1/2 way through his 1st season. Jury still out for me. Doesn't see enough of the ball and his kicking game isn't as good as I'd hoped, particularly close to the line. Needs to improve

| Hopefully means we have a top stand off in the frame for recruitment next year in which case it's an obvious move. Not seen anything from Ellis or Nicklas yet to suggest they will be better than Horne or Seymour. For sure they're young and I'm not writing either off but top level talent shows itself early and it's a pivotal position that can't be experimented with for too long. Look at Tomkins he's young as well but has the X factor. ATEOTD young or not these guys have to step up and take their chances through performance on the field. One or both may well get that chance this year and they have to deliver.
For me Seymour is playing well enough and would not want to replace both halves next year so hope he stays.

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| Horne is a better 6 than 1, it's just we don't produce many quality fb's.
Gentle must have at least one half lined up, can't see it been Finch though. I'd guess he'll do 2 more years at Wigan till they get Soward.

| Horne is an enigma to me I haven't rated him for a long time but when he's not playing we are worse off so he's clearly an important clog in the wheel.

| Been on the card a while this move. I don't see him as being a top fullback but think he will do a good job there and importantly it allows us to bring in a halfback. Seymour seems to be copping a bit of stick which is undeserved for me. He has allows been a solid halfback but nothing more. I think the problem with him and Horne is there isn't enough dynamism between them, they are a bit samey. Getting another half in along side Seymour will be a really good move for the team.
I also doubt Ellis and Nicklass will be here next year. We are looking at a halfback in the championship to come in as understudy and then a top half to replace Horne with Wade's money. Nicklas/Ellis will have a chance to impress now but they have a lot to do I think.

| Quote: Standee "agree with both, people have been far too happy to applaud Horne because he's a Hull lad, yes he is devoted and FC to the core, he's also been paid, on average, £100k a year for at least 5 years, that is HALF A MILLION POUNDS, people need to start being honest, even 2 more years at full bak he'll get £70k a year (minimum), I would imagine, with testemonials and other years in the squad he'll have take £1m off FC for his services over the years, nice work if you can get it.
(and I am NOT calling Richard, he is a good player, but he hasn't been worth £1m+ over his RL career)'"
I honestly never even think of Horne being a Hull lad whether I applaud or slag him him. I just judge him as a Hull player, tbh you are the only one that ever seems to bring this up. I don't notice any other posters banging on continually about him being a local lad.

I think the understudy you talk of could be Matty Smith from Salford. An enquiry has been made and is ooc. Jodie Broughton is another from Salford who could be coming to us too.

Who's standing out in the championship Paul?
Hill's doing pretty well over at Warrington and Hardaker at Leeds so they're must be some talent coming through.

Why would Smith want to be a understudy with us?
How big of a club do you think we are?

I don't know who the halfback is but the prop plays for Batley, Alex Walmsley.

Matty Smith won't go anywhere to be an understudy, he's done that.

If he comes it would be as a our new half to play with Seymour. I'd be disappointed with him tbh.
