And add to that the fact that it makes astoundingly poor business sense to start cutting prices for the game that is likely to attract the biggest attendance of the year without any incentives.

I wouldn't know what our deals are with the SMC. Maybe Pearson is living in fantasy land thinking he is gonna get 3000 more supporters this season.

But with a crowd 4000 down on capacity would it not have been prudent to offer family tickets elsewhere just to fill the ground and the coffers. Just a thought if people were actively seeking them.

Understand your point but your 'normal' games arent sellouts by a long shot. But the derby generally is so my point is knowing they were 4000 below sellout and people are looking for family tickets would it have put fans out to allow extra family packs to be given out in other parts of the ground? they are stewarded to a sellout so no problem. Money made.
