| He was particularly poor last week against opposition that may possibly be better than we're giving credit for. He was very average today in the first half against what looked to be very very poor oppositon ( difficult to say though because we have no benchmarks yet ) but he did sharpen up in second half and looked OK. Jury's still out big time. Thought Nicklass looked on his toes when he came on and definitely warrants a bit of time on the pitch this year. Hopefully it will be him and others coming through that will help to maintain that edge in Horne.

| horne was man of match for me followed by mckinnon with o carrol yeaman worth a mention. Seymore without imposing himself brings some direction we haven't had for years! this and last week has had a couple of really smart touches! think when he's really settled in he'll be a great signing! that's gotta be good for horne. as for Horne he saved 2 tries as well as making numerous half breaks and put others through. kicking game not to bad either!!

| If we spend the season arguing which halfback played better then i'll be happy. Pleased with how O'Carroll has settled in.

| I for one blasted RH last week because his all round game was poor and i would expect better from a very experienced player, but i thought he had a very good game against Bradford. He now has to back that game up and become more consistent.Saying that his partnership with seymore is looking very encouraging, so lets all hope Rich has a great season.

| I didn't go against Rovers but it sounded like Hull had very little ball in the game and what we did have was near our own line. Halves will struggle to impress on that basis. Yesterday our forwards crossed the game line regularly and we made fewer mistakes and gave away far fewer penalties. Much easier for the halves to operate in that scenario.

Was talking to the bro-in-law about O'carroll and he was saying that when he and Prescott came through,O'Carroll was the better of the 2 but the injury did for him and put him down the pecking order.

| Half back in playing well behind dominant pack shocker.
I said last week a lot were overly critical of Horne in a game where he no time or field position. This week it sounds like your pack dominated Bradfords and as such the HB's made hay. Isn't this usually the way with RL.

He was always the better prospect, the question mark with him was his injuries. If those are behind him then we have an excellent young prop.

Spot on. Not undermining Rovers but I don't think your pack was particularly dominant. The issue was you kicked much better and we made too many mistakes which meant we did far too much defending and were constantly coming off our own line. Took it's toll in our first preseason game, especially 2nd half.
