Sure he might not make, but give him chance.'"
unfortunatly many just dont have the sense! personally ive seen him at fullback before, but many saw that 10 mins the other day were made no errors apart from lose the ball whilst unconcious but yet know better than the coaching staff who work with him day in day out? why are these people on here and not SL coaches?! the standard of hull fan has dropped a lot in recent times! Many not happy unless moaning, and they'll not think twice about destroying and tearing down our own players. Tommy lee didnt deserve all abuse he got, hall the same, a fair few others too ,sharp getting it now and reece about to get same treatment! tommy briscoe should count his lucky stars he's had the good fortune to have served his apprenticeship on the left outside yeamo and manu and not on the cursed right side cos these people would have probably found reason to tear him down too! also regards that England game not long ago i got to watch that game! tries from different areas and out the back flick passes and won a good few pens! along with MOM all amongst the best of acadamy players england has!

| Quote: Panda92 "From those freeze-frames it's unclear whether the contact was made by the elbow, upperarm or shoulder, but when I was at the game it just looked like a well-timed hit. I guess it's also worth mentioning that none of the players on the pitch seemed outraged, suggesting that it was a fair enough hit.
The one thing that I didn't like was Welham didn't go over to see if Lyne was okay whilst he was laid out, but I was appalled at the fact that neither the referee nor eit assistant checked up on Lyne, even when after the hooter had gone.'" str
If the Hull players didn't react it was probably because they didn't see anything wrong with the tackle too. Strange that the ref didn't check he was ok though.

| The fact Reece didn't drop a ball until he was knocked out
The fact he actually took a high ball knowing he was gonna be smashed within a split second of catching it
The fact he's still a young lad & is just starting out in that position
All point out that just maybe he has got the heart & skills to become a successful fullback if given a chance.
It was a brave catch followed by a well timed tackle, end of!
So perhaps people should hold back from slagging a young prospect off & actually encourage & support him.
Or maybe we should jump on any sign of weakness & shout abuse from the stands & post pages of nonsense on forums to totally ruin any young players confidence!
If Reece is going to try out at fullback he is gonna get caught out from time to time as I'm sure he'll do some good things. But let's not add to the pressure he'll be under like when Hall played there, or Tommy Lee played at halfback, or last year when Sharp was struggling.

| Lynne didn't do an awful lot wrong in that game other than take an almighty hit from a well timed kick. Maybe he should've jumped or turned his back but thats all part of the learning process in a new position. He was unfortunate that he took a big one and we scored from it.
The difference between the play on in this situation and the Beaumont was is simple. Beaumont was tackled, the tackle was completed and he was seriously injured. The ref stopped play at that point. Lynne wasn;t tackle complete, if Rovers hadn't scored I would assume the ref would have stopped play at the next tackle. As it was we we scored and there was a natural break and ultimately the half time hooter.
If you stop play for the Lynne incident then any player dropping the ball in a tackle would fake injury to stop the opposition playing on, we'd turn into football with players rolling all over and joggin off 5 seconds later.

Im all for giving young players a chance myself but he really needs loaned out to me as he just looks a weak link and I wouldnt have any confidence of having him as my fullback especially when we have good cover in Horne and whiting. Id even give Jack Briscoe ago as I just dont see any positives about this kid at the top level. He is one of the few kids im not excited about and Id like to see him prove himself somewhere else.

| Note to Reece Lyne - Next time jump for the ball! The players running at you can't smash you in the head if you're in the air!
Easier said than done, I know! But that's the lesson I'd get from this. It's all well and good being brave (bravo for that as well!), but if you're going to get knocked out being brave, it's not exactly the smart option.

I mean the ref should stop playing advantages or letting play coninue until he has seen if every single player gets up from an impact.
Or perhaps he could let play continue and then asses it at the next stoppage/completed tackle....Oh wait he did.

| Its over analysed.
Sissie Welham is a coward.
Every player on that pitch knows that the coward had 2 choices on how to hit an obviously open opposition player who could not defend himself.
1. Wipe him out with the intent to cause as much damage as possible or
2. Simply wait and see if the falling opponent tries to get up and continue (he had caught the ball)
THE GUYS A W4NKER...as proven by his continuous childish displays.
Wounder if he gets an injury so he can't play against us in the SL match.

| No he isnt a W*nker - he is typical of every rugby league player, putting in a hit on a player that would lead to a dominant tackle and pressure on us coming away from our own line. He didnt intend to injure at all

Give over, not one player on that pitch made a fuss about it.
You're as wet behind the ears as Reece is, he should have jumped for the ball. Why would Welham not tackle Reece at the earliest opportunity, instead, you suggest he lets him stand up, potentially avoid the tackle and run the length of the pitch through a jagged set of chasers.
Cheer up Mr Lyne, Welham will play in the next derby, Reece probably won't.

| lets put into the correct context here
Our lad got creamed by a hit that would have had FC fans peeing in their pants had it been on dobson by yeaman or similar
no issue with the tackle, no issue with the hit itself, Lynne was wide open and there to get creamed , and creamed he was....
he isnt a full back as long as my sack dangles south and methinks he wont want to play FB again
hope the lad is ok now but hey its done its dusted he got wiped out and he will learn from it
