Apart from the 7 figure bill she left FC with? TIC comment, for avoidance of doubt.

I can't see any way there was personal gain in that, anyway, it matters not, she's someone else's problem now.

| Quote: Standee "No, of course a director can receive a salary, but it would be a fairly thick director that took a £75k salary against a £125k tax break investment, would it not?
I just get a bit fed up of people making things up and passing them off as "fact", whatever Kath was or wasn't upto is folklore, unless someone has proof.'"
Salary has nothing to do with an initial investment though does it. I'd hardly say someone is thick for investing £125k in one company only to then be gifted a much more valuable one (in terms of market size, potential etc.), taking a hefty salary for 10+ years and then selling the company on for a substantial profit on my initial investment. Particularly if my initial investment had some tax advantages

Who has suggested tax evasion/avoidance?
Surely a "tax break" is an official HMRC scheme?

The "tax break" refers to the investment at Gateshead with was added to when they came to Hull. It was made under the EIS scheme.
It was mentioned in detail here many a time before by a poster.
It is long known that Kath and Rule wre collectin £75k pa each from the club as salary, dividends, who knows, maybe they coughed it up at the end of 2010 so we could buy Westerman, afterall they did say that "six figure sum" was the years profit re invested in the business, (boy we were lucky)

No it isn't. It's pure speculation (i.e. bollox) same as any reports on here about players' salaries.

I'm not spouting anything, merely suggesting you should think before you type your usual unfounded "poop"

I believe that all the original Gateshead directors received a tax break for their original investment in that club. I'm not sure that this was added to when they came to Hull, although the original scheme may well have still been in force.

This bit is speculation and hearsay as the accounts don't go into enough detail to identify such payments. What does appear to be clear is that all the directors had their initial investment and subsequent loans repaid - hence Rule's infamous comment about not owing anyone a penny. Not the first Hull CEO to make that claim, mind.

how is it "long known" what salary Kath and James were taking, the accounts (as Kosh has said) don't include that level of detail. I detest the woman with a passion but to accuse her of being on the fiddle is just silly, she's not stupid.

| Quote: ComeOnYouUll "Makes up most of the middle pages of the new Saturday Sports pullout.
In the Q&A, Pearson says the away performance at Leeds at the end of the season was a "watershed" which made his mind up that the club needed a complete fresh start off and on the pitch. He describes it as "an insult to all the supporters who stood behind the posts in the rain" and that it was a "very poor day for the club". Also that the performance was so unacceptable that the entire coaching staff was changed.
He says he didn't expect to have to change the Chief Executive and that the emphasis has changed from "penny pinching, frugality and trying to get the cheapest deal possible to do what is right for the players and what will help the players."
He praises Peter Gentle who "doesn't say things for effect, he says them for a reason".
Pearson says some fans haven't renewed passes from last year and that the club will be contacting them to urge them to give the club another chance.
On the Gleeson story, Pearson says from now on "if you fail a drug test at this club, I will be announcing it the next morning and the player will be on the next bus out of the club. There is no grey area. It is black and white. If you take drugs then you are out of here, period. I don't understand how it became such a protracted and convoluted process, it should never have happened."
He says after the Luke Briscoe move to Leeds that the entire Academy structure was revamped.
He finishes by saying he's proud to be from this area and work in this area and that the Leeds play off game and accepting ourselves as second-class citizens to Leeds was not acceptable and that "I can guarantee that attitude will never be allowed again."
What a guy!'"
Can he play prop too
