3 of those already have a new Coach lined up.
I am sure Pearson will get you lot one of the best in the close season, he knows how important it is now to get the right man in.

Hudgell promised Clint Newton that Noble will not be the Coach according to Newton and I believe Dobson would not sign if Noble was going to be the Coach so I doubt it.
All I know is Morgs has been offered Cas but is waiting for Canterbury and the Wakey staff and players are expecting Rich Agar to be announced as their Coach for next year.
Iestyn has a job lined up which will be at Wigan or Leeds so it only really leaves Noble, Kear and Terry Matterson of the current SL type Coaches for the two Hull Jobs.
I would of thought if you can get him Terry Matterson is the best of those three without doubt.
Would like think Pearson is already talking to Aussie Coaches though, Hull FC is a massive club and can tempt coaches over much easier than Hull KR could I suppose.

| What do people think about Matterson potentially coming in?
He's worked wonders with the kids at Cas, got them playing an exciting brand of Rugby......oh, and could maybe bring Rangi over with him!!
I'd be happy, but would probably prefer someone with a proven record of winning trophies as a head coach (or part of a successful coaching setup eg McGuire).

I'd be massively underwhelmed.
The Hull FC head coach poistion is one of the top three coaching jobs in Super League. We should aim higher.

Falls into the same category as Noble for me, huge improvement on Agar but hopefully under Pearson we can set our sights a bit higher.

| Can i just add that i do not want Morgan as our coach. Thats not to say i dont think he'd do a good job but i couldnt face having an ex KR coach at the helm and imo he would never be acceopted by the faithful. Ill also add that id prefer us to keep away from a young up and coming aussie at this time as i dont think its what the club needs after the dreadful Sharp and now Agar eras. If he's aussie he has to be top of the line like Foulkes or Anderson.

I don't care that morgan would be teh ex dobbins coach, it's the fact he's only marginally better than agar that would put me off

No its not.
I suspect most top coaches would rather coach Wire, Wigan, Saints or Leeds before Hull.

They would rather coach, where the most lucrative offer is made from.

Ditto
I dont feel Matterson could lift us, to challenge Wigan or Warrington.
We need a proven NRL coach, who can take a side into playoffs.
Anderson or Folkes or Brian Smith.
Morgan has had a better coaching career in SL than Agar, yet he is been removed,
IF we want a good coach, we'll have to move quick.

| I agree. Given the dross that's been served up, Adam should look for the biggest name going. The problem will be finding him and competing with clubs in SL and the NRL for him.
There's a few clubs looking for new coaches, so I suppose it'll come down to Adam's negotiation skills, not to mention cash!!
One things for sure, 99.9% of fans want a change, but you can guarantee whoever gets the job won't please 100% of people! If we ended up with Matterson after missing out on preferred targets i wouldn't be too upset.
I think a change of coach will drastically change people's mindset...come on Adam, put us out of our misery!

So they wouldn't be influenced by matters like the opportunity to work with the best players, appear in major finals or win trophies then?

An example is Wayne Bennett,
moved from Brisbane to St George,
now moving to Newcastle , who have a new owner, Bennett is now the highest paid coach in the NRL.
