Quote: Jake the Peg "For those that live in Hull I suggest you start lobbying your councillor now and let him/her know your feelings about the sale of the KC and how you will do everything you can to ensure they lose their seat at the next council elections if the KC is sold. There is nothing that these people fear more than whinging electorate and losing their seat.

the time to act is now

Quote: Mrs Barista "The council are bearing the risk and underwriting the loan. Rovers, of course are only repaying £1.9m of the £6m. The rest of the bill is being footed by ERDF and an enterprise and training body who will occupy the offices and pay the majority of the repayments. The council, and public money, by any other name.
Which is 1.9 million of capital costs, which in turn is 1.9 million MORE than you are paying towards the capital costs of the KC.

If they default.

Small money compared to the bill of 43 million the ratepayers picked up for your ground. At least we are paying something towards our costs in the form of capital repayments.

I already emailed our new Council Leader and am awaiting the promise of reply within 3 days and more fuller response later!!

I do hope that he, along with most of the HCC Councllors have taken note of the free paper delivered today to us all -back page or anyone interested.....quote...

Tigers hoping for in-form Bullard's close-season exit is the headline telling us that " Adam Pearson, head of football operations is HOPEFUL Jimmy Bullard's form will win him a move AWAY from the KC thissummer. City are DESPERATE to be rid of Bullards
£45,000-a-week wages before his contract ends in 2013"

Now surely I know this is quite a lot of dosh (well to the likes of you and me) but on the wages of stars of the football world I suspect would be a pittance - and in the chequebook of such a megga rich BENIFACTOR, like MR ALLAM - who wants nowt, nowt nowt .......yeh, and I'm a pink elephant so I believe him.

Like me, lobby all the Councillors and show how the vast majority feel about them even discussing the sale of OUR COMMUNITY STADIUM -not Hull City's or Hull FC's or even Rovers although they could just as easy have been sharing it along with all the rest of City and FC 's fans........grannyfan Cindy

Indeed, IF the truth about KR's finances comes out then a lot of Robbins fans will be going to Skirlaugh to watch a local team.

the more I find out, the more disgusted I am with Hudgell

That's fine by the likes of you blakeysrobin, if you have no pride in taking money which you will only pay back at a 1d in the £. Sorry but I have more respect for anyone who is generous enough to lend me something then to repay with anything other than the same amount + interest.
Also your name of 'blakeysrobin' is that the name of your previous employer, Ian Blakey, if so give him my regards, and ask him if he would welcome creditors defaulting on his firm with 1d in the £. ........grannyfan Cindy

You might want to lobby a few other Councillors directly as well. Read the following and take note of a few key names who have received freebies from Hull KR in the recent months.

https://web5.hullcc.gov.uk/akshull/user ... /kab110.pl

You might particularly want to look at Cllr Chaytor who is the new chair of the planning committee and what he has accepted from Hull KR and find the one who received a season ticket as a gift!

They hold positions of power and influence and they need to be challenged and publicly.

Interesting reading. Wonder if the mail can do some kind of comparison to see who has accepted what from each club

I've just sent a freedom of information request to councillor.brady@hullcc.gov.uk, I have requested the following:

1) Minutes of all meetings relevant to the final decision to demolish The Boulevard, including any public or private consultations that were undertaken, names of those people sitting on the committee(s) and any related correspondence.

2) Minutes of all meetings pertaining to the development and building of the KC Stadium, including all legal covenents and funding conditions, names of those people sitting on the committee(s) and any related correspondence.

3) The Council's policy on the potential sale of the stadium and surrounding land, and how it reconciles with comittments made to various governing bodies.

3) Details of under which powers Hull City Council would call a referendum on the sale of the KC Stadium, and an indication of when you expect to hold such referendum and the cost to the authority of doing so.

4) A list of members interests registered in terms of gifts or hospitality accepted from Hull City, Hull KR and Hull FC over the past 2 years as at 1st June 2011, and details of when members last update their interests.

we shall see what response I get.
