| I said to the other half i was going to take a week or 2 to decide about my season pass next season. I have been disappointed with our play all season long and have not seen anything that makes me think anything will change next season.
Now there is being loyal and there is putting blind faith into something, if fans are unhappy with the way things are the one thing that will make the board sit up and notice is ££££'s. If we continue to throw money at them to serve up dross why would they make changes when they wont reap any financial benefit from it.

Nice description of the majority of Hull supporters.

| The club lost me as a pass holder this year (for the 1st time in well over 20 years) and they've done nothing to make me want one for next year.

Alternatively they may decide that the business is no longer viable as the fan base falls and call in their investments, fairly quickly to avoid the prospect of the value of their investments falling too far. Still, better to have the money making s out of the picture and have no club at all than have them running the club at A grade status and daring to make a few bob. We can all sit in the pub on a Friday night and toast ourselves for not giving them another shilling while watching the Super League on the tele.

The trouble is, until sufficient people become disillusioned enough to not get a pass, merchandise or tickets and it starts to effect the club in the pocket (as many people have already said) then there is no real need to change anything.
Lets not forget as far as I know we have a maximum of 2 hull fans on our board (both puppets if you ask me, Rule may be the face but has no real power) the rest are there for one reason only and that's the money, they don't particularly care about results. They couldn't give two hoots as to how well we do on the pitch as long as we make money - to change anything now will cost them (and knowing certain members of our board as I do, they'd walk over family to make money).
Boards don't keep successful coaches on because they win trophies, they don't get rid because they make money - by the same token boards don't get rid of coaches because they lose games they get rid of coaches because in the main losing games ends up losing money. The trouble at Hull is whilst many clubs would have seen a decline in spectators & merchandising we continue to plough our spare money into the club (anyone would think we have nothing else to do in Hull).

Interesting you decide to refer to fans like me as blind sheep for supporting my club through thick and thin. I suppose those who disagree with the likes of me must be fair weather glory hunters.

Unless the Director's have debts to call in (I'm not sure whether we do any more or not TBH) then they can't just call in the investment, the club IS the investment and they have 2 choices - either close the doors and lose all their money or sell it (which won't be easy at the moment) either way it's not in their business interest to do either becuase they want to make money. ATEOD the board will know why fans are not buying tickets the only way they would consider selling to get their money out would be if they could see no reason behind the falling revenue or not see a way to restore it - our board would have to be fairly dosey to not know what was affecting sales right now, IMO of course.

A few points on this one. Firstly without the current set of directors there would be no club. At all. Secondly this board has presided over what IMO is the most impressive turnaround in financial performance in the competition, returning profit for 5 consecutive years. Thirdly the club still has negative P&L reserves, therefore payment of any dividends to directors is illegal under the Companies Act. They may take a salary, but given there are only 3 clubs in profit, we spend the salary cap and a big wedge to the SMC and have a decent academy set-up to run, salaries are unlikely to be massive for all 5 shareholder directors. Anyone believing the whole board have invested in Hull FC for massive personal financial gain are utter loons.

| Quote: Mrs Barista "Last season although we ended the season on a downer, we had the much-hyped arrivals of O'Meley and Fitzgibbon to look forward to as well as Long and enabling a PR offensive on shirts with a big launch, overseas players arriving early for pre season, big push to get record season pass sales. End of season fans forum could therefore concentrate on the season of promise.
Will be interesting to see how the club positions next season if there are no signings forthcoming. I'm sure Rule will, quite rightly, focus on the progression from 12th to 7th and if the 2010 financial forecast is available and showing another profit, talk about our robust off the pitch position. Agar will major on Long and Horne not being available together. I'm sure once the disappointment of being eliminated last night has worn off for most people the appetite will return, but I personally think the club need to pull a couple of rabbits out of hats to keep the fans engaged to the same extent and in the same numbers this time round. Without a big signing or two I think this will be a big challenge.'"
Have faith Mrs B, have faith.
There's too much at stake for the club not to 'engage the fans'
The people that run the club are doing a fine job off the field - recruitment has been good so far (2010)
We (Hull Fc) gambled and overloaded the forwards hoping for a bit of luck in the injury department and it failed (again) one thing is for sure in 2011 we need a better balanced squad.
I'm sure there'll be more signings to come; some fans just want to hear about them upfront (myself included) but we should all realise that's not how this club does its business.
Someone will probably pick me up for being a club pacifist; I can assure you I am not. I crave for this club to be up at the top and I [ido[/i hold those at the club responsible for us underachieving. Let’s make no bones about it: We have underachieved in the last few years, we all know that, I am also not daft enough to think the players, coaches, directors etc etc don’t know that.
I am as passionate as any fan that supports this club, or any other club for that matter. What I don’t subscribe to is the constant slag-a-thon that some fans seem to revel in.
After every defeat we get the ‘team-sheet tirade’: Players that have and on occasions haven’t played are dissected, hung drawn and quartered along with everyone else including the tea lady.
I will be there next season as Hull Fc are my team >In Any kind of weather<

Grade A licence must really rankle does it ? Enviable community partnerships and junior development must hurt like hell. The club has never been run better off the field and reached out into the community more than it does now. But those s at the top have the audacity to expect a penny or two as a return on their investment. Shocking.
