We can't afford to move Berro from the halves. Turner and Washbrook at halves would mean zero tries scored.'"
In a sense we wouldn't be changing berro's attacking responsibility, just his defensive, so on the attack he would basically play 7 as normal.

He went on to play for Great Britain and is I believe out top scorer in SL.
Now it's Jack Briscoe's turn to step into the spotlight.
Any other 'solution' just weakens out already depleted half back and centre options.'"

| I don't understand where the calls for Jack come from, there has been no mention of him making the squads this season or him ripping it up in the reserves.
Like it or not the is no option other than bringing Hall into the side and probably play him at fullback, either him or Turner. As has already been said Berro could defend at fullback which would help.

| Jack Briscoe shouldnt be anywhere near the 17 for friday. We are playing away from home, on sky television, against a team with one of the best tactical kickers in super league, and people are seriously suggesting that we should throw in a 17/18 year old who has no super experience whatsoever? Get real people. And as for us having 'nothing to lose' well how about the kids confidence for a start? Its hardly the time or place for us to be considering giving someone a debut who has not yet competed at this level, nor would it be fair on him. I would put Berrigan there when we are defending, and bring him into the halves in attack (like Wigan do with Tomkins), hardly ideal but he's probably the best man for the job imo.

Who was the 17/18 year old that featured in the Hull side at Wire a couple of seasons ago? Think it was the 1st or 2nd game of the season and we had some injuries.

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |

Tom Briscoe opposite Matt King.

Berrigan probably has the ability to do well there but is in the halves so i guess it should be one of the Briscoe's........Sean!!!!!!'"
Is his kicking suddenly going to be cack if we dont play J.Briscoe? Fact is he would have kicked Tansey to death as well. I'd play him and have a back up plan in place if he really struggles. Sometimes coming up against top quality opposition like that can be good for a young kid to give him an idea of the standards he needs to work towards.
Reece made a few mistakes on his debut at Salford but it hasn't done him any harm. Yeamo was taken apart early on in his career by Newlove and he said it only spurred him on to make sure it never happened again. As long as the usual numpties dont start on the kid if he does make a mistake then it should be fine.

[quote="The Reason":3e09qe5x]Hi Andy
The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

| The only reason I can see him not to be played is the backs would be very inexperienced.
But at least he's played full back has any other except hall?

Some good arguments as to why he should play IMO.
One thing not mentionned is Jack's recent form in the U20's. I have been told by a couple of people that his form has been poor at that level recently and may be the main reason behind his non selection (assuming he isnt selected in the squad!)

I haven't seen much of the U20's this season but I seem to recall some people saying Big Sam looked ordinary when he was playing at that level earlier in the season. I'm not sure U20's form really means all that much TBH.

Which is why our game plan, as it always should with Wire, should centre around keeping posession, closing their kickers down and keeping them in their own half.

Exactly, I remember Wilf saying Sam looked average at best for the majority of the time, but once he got a crack at the first team he was a different beast all together.
We also have the advantage that this game is not a must win game, yes would be nice to win it, but if we lose we still have the Leeds game to claim 4th spot.
