No to Wheeldon and a deffo no to keeping Dowes.

Dowes offers us nothing, been robbing a wage as a SL prop for the last 2 seasons. No doubt the club will offer him a new deal though!

1 of them will be getting a new contract i reckon. With Yak going i can't see us letting another 2 props go.

In an ideal world, Dowes, Cusack and Radford would all go. They are just not good enough for a team that wants to be successful. However, with no quota spots available and not many good British props, one of them will end up staying even though they offer close to nothing.

You are absolutely correct!, it would be suicide to let both Lee and Dowes go when Yak leaves.. and it will not happen because there simply isnt enough better quality replacements around , also i wonder what some people want from their front row , at times you find the odd one who has an offload like Moa or Omeley, some have a bit of speed Like Fozzard etc, others are usually bangers like Morley, peacock and Graham who can offload a bit and run a bit however those three are freaks in RL as we know and as such you have to compensate by having runners and tacklers we utilise Lee and Dowes for the second of those and BOTH work damned hard...
Many have been noted on here as worthy replacements like for instance LMS , now would he be a decent replacement because as I see it he has not moved on for two seasons now!! maybe he is next years FC scapegoat??

I aint making Dowes a scapegoat, just saying he offers nothing other than being a big bloke who runs at the defence and pulls up just before the tackle.

Must admit I have never seen Dowes shy from taking the ball in to be honest

Scott Wheeldon was never offered a deal with Hull, because of the wrangling with Carvell about his on off contract, thats when KR came in for him, he did not want to leave us. Personally i thought he showed a lot of promise, he is a good pro, good trainer, with the right coach could do ok, no world beater but good squad player. Does anyone remember him putting Morley on his but than Morley shaking his hand in front of south stand.

He's also broken about 3 tackles in the 6 seasons he's been at the club.

Agree,

But he gets dominated almost everytime in the collision,
and hardly ever, makes it over the advantage line.

Would prefer Scruton and LMS

3? Are you sure it's that many??

The club and their spin doctor EXPRO clearly see something in Dowes that we dont. He must work hard in training or something?
