True that Berro is contracted for this season, if the club had wanted they needn't have honoured the optional fourth year. His contract would have ended and there would have been no pay off required. |

Its been widely stated (correctly or not, I've no idea) that the optional 4th year was solely an option for Berrigan to take or not take dependant on how many games he played in the preceding years) |

have the club actually confirmed this 4th year officially? I know Berrigan spoke about it to the press...but I can't remember it being confirmed on the club website? |

I don't believe they have. Berrigan was interviewed on Radio Humberside about six weeks ago and said he would be staying for 2011 as he'd played 50+ games in 2008-2009. |

on his player profile it says he's contracted to 2011, so maybe they just decided that as they announced he'd signed a '4 year' deal at the time it wasn't worth another press release... |
