| Quote: Kosh "We had threads like this in the closed season. Then everyone ate humble pie when he had some good games. Now the vultures are circling again. What is it with FC fans? Our players are either world-beaters when they have a good game or not SL standard when they have a bad one. Is having a balanced point of view just too much effort?'"
I think the point is that we have not got a world beater in the whole of the squad - We have an average side who at times would struggle in the National League - and it pains me to say that. We can go on again for another season but really I dont know what the answer is. I have seen some very poor Hull Sides over the years and this lot are up with the best of them. I am not in the Agar out group but we need something to bring us up. We are like the greyist day in the middle of winter!!

| You could tell quite plainly today the guy was injured and could not move. He should not have even been playing as he was clearly not fit.A couple of weeks ago all were saying how well he was playing
How can we slag this guy off and yet try and sing Longs praise. Long looks like he is here for an easy ride and only tried in the sh game, and lets not forget who put him in the gap for the try.
A fit Horne is still a SL player but who plays outside him Turner is clearly not a 6 Long looks knackered Washy is a 13 so yet again he has no support .
We need to focus on the coach here. He has known the issue for 2.5 seasons at 6,7 ,13 and done nothing about it but sign old tired players.
We now need to give our young guys a chance .
lets focus on the coach .

We could sign all of the Melbourne Storm team, and in a month, they would be languishing mid table.
We sign one of the must influential playmaker's in Super League history,
and now ,he looks an ordinary player.
Agar has a great knack, of bringing in a quality player, and turning him into an average player.
Nathan Brown,on the other hand , does the opposite.
Michael Maguire at Wigan, hasnt brought in any new players, they are a totally different 'animal' this year.
Can you imagine, if Wigan had O'Meley,Berrigan and Fitzgibbon in their side???
We play, like the players havent had a single training session together.
Good to see Paul King having a great game tonight!!

| It's nothing to do with engaging brain before posting at all...... it's to do with my opinion.
Richard Horne is over rated by too many people. He's an average player. If he was a quota player everyone would be up in arms about how cr@p he is.. He's been past it for a long time now!!
It's no good saying he'd be great with Long, as most players would be great with Long (or any other good scrumhalf). His problem is he can't even get the basics right.... There are so many players in superleague better than Rich Horne on a fraction of his wage!! Get rid, there's no room for sentiment in sport!!

| It's about time those within the ivory towers took a decent look at themselves and just see were they want the club to go. Again we stumble upon the chance to push on as a club and return to those days were we were a force within RL and not just contenders . It just seems £ is the trophy now .

| The trouble I see (apart from Agar) is that we are constantly harking back to 2005 and 2006 with some players.
Horne is a classic example. I have supported him through thick and thin but we are now waiting for him to replicate form of years ago. The question is how long do we wait and at what point do we say thanks for the memories / the effort etc etc. I strongly believe that time is now with Horne.
Another for me is Yeaman. Yes he has at times shown a bit of form this season but when he signed a new contract there was talk on here of if her replicates the form of 2006" ... how long do we wait for that?
I could go on but Agar , Washy, Horney, Hall, Dowes are for me the nucleous of our problems has beens or never will bees who simply are not good enough for a top four team, or at least a team with aspirations of top 4.

Most of the above sums it up for me. You could see from the first set he was limping badly, and should never have been out there.
The team/squad on paper is more than capable of challenging in SL, but it is the way the team is setup that makes us look like a NL1 team. Agar is 5 years behind the rest of SL with his tactics, and it is turning a very good squad into no hopers. There are 3 main things for me that need to change [not including replacing Agar with a real tactitian, Steve Foulkes for me] and they are Depth in attack - our halves and strike players keep getting smashed because we start too flat and try and play at the line, and SL defences are too quick and fit for this to be productive.
[2] Numbers in the tackle - all our problems start from being beat at the play the ball - and the easiest way to rectify this is just put more men in the tackle - you get longer to peel away and then defensively you are more solid.
[3] Intensity/ Enthusiasm - everything is half d, and it needs to be done with a lot more urgency. And this would be helped by the two points above becasue the deeper you start, eveything you do is with players going forward, and the more time you have in defence, the quicker you can get off the line.
They are the short term problems, but as above AGAR NEEDS TO GO - and a Foulkes, Kearney, Gould [maybe wishing here] needs to give this Club the direction it needs on the field.

And never has been. Even when Cooke was at the club people, for whatever reason, seemed to think that Horne was a scrum half because he had a squad number 7 on his back. He's always played better with a decent partner, I don't understand why it's a shock to people.

| When Horne and Turner are together at 6 and 7 we don't have an ounce of creativity. Horne is a runner and Turner isn't a half back full stop imo. We could do alot worse than put Nicklas there for a game or two untill Longs back.

think you will find if you engaged your brain more, less tosh would come out your mouth.
its nothing to do with Horne being a HULL lad, he was obviously injured yesterday , and to say he cant get the basics right is tosh
