The derby games usually go to the team that want it more, for that reason I think Rovers will scrape it. Hope I'm wrong, but the derby games of the recent era hardly fill me with confidence.

Can only see one winner! Horne will be a major influence on the squad and if Fitz, O'Meley, Lauaki, Manu can get on top of them, I think the hard work is already done. In Sean Long and (this season) Richard Horne, we have two good half backs who are more than capable of orchastrating a victory over the Red and Whites. Cusack should return and his experience should lift the team.
My only concern is who will throw the first punch. Moa, Lauaki, O'Meley or Long.
Here comes the Boom!!!!

| lets face it, we've been hurt by rovers in the last few years, the vast majority of the squad have been hurt by them so if hull go out there not wanting it then they are not fit to be in the profession they are in, we have to win aswell because warrington 3 days after a derby is a big ask, come on u ull !

| Not at all confident about this one, to be honest.
Morgan has proved in the past how he is much better at lifting his team for a derby game than Agar or Sharp before him.

| What a civilised thread given the subject matter.
As for a prediction, it comes down to whether Morgan can get Rovers fired up enough to win or if our Hull Derby debutants can up their game after last Sarurday for one which is so important to the fans.
If Longy can chuck some decent wide ball to Manu running up against Welham, Hull can score plenty out wide.
I hope they read this forum as I'm not sure Agar is tactically aware enough.

| True Morgan can lift his side more than seemingly agar and sharp have been able to do in recent years, if we win it, it maybe more todo with the players than the coach.

| Im not so sure that Morgan does get our team fired up alot more than you guys, he has just been tactically so much better than his opposite.

| I think Rovers will sorely miss Cooke for the Derbies. This is definitely one that can go either way as with all Derbies but without Cooke involves I think the balance tips slightly more FC's way.

| Home advantage could tip it in the dobbins favour. Close to call.

| We need more cover for our wingers thats our weakness ,Dobson will just bomb them all afternoon .
I noticed when were defending Longy goes to the and Yeaman steps one in,if rovers get the wide runners running at him to tire him out .
Oh its going to be a nailbiter .

Let's face it, Dobson is far weaker in defence than Long so if we run it at him it will pay dividends. Also they are going to be light in the experienced winger dept so will be just as worried about Long, Horne and Tansey kicking to their wingers. Even if Fox plays his attack is his strength, defence and fielding high balls his weaknesses.

We wont be worried about Horne kicking at all lol
Fox aint bad under a high ball at all, think he went through a dodgy spell last season but it never lasted long, alot of players go through this.

Horneys kicking game was much improved in his last 3 or 4 games before his injury, so much so i think we scored quite a few tries from his kicks. Plus his tactical kicking was also much better.

Is Fox playing? rated 50/50 could prove to be a gamble?
