From what i'm aware from my info long is to be captain as i posted on 1st page and has pretty much carrying that mantle in training anyway.

not a problem with long having it, agar may feel he wants his captain on the feild for the full 80 and might have plans to play his 4 back rowers 60 mins each.

I think it probably is. Radders has won awards for his role in the community as captain so would think it would make sense to allow him to continue that if he wants to using the club captain role. |

Long should have no responsibility in terms of captaincy or goalkicking, he should be left to play.

Ive got no complaints if its Long, he has proven in his career that he can play the game and captain the team and seems to thrive with the responsibility. |

Obviously the players in contention have been asked about the job and if Long has got it then he obviously wants the job.
I am not too bothered who is the captain because we all know Fitz will still guide the players around and get on to them when it is needed regardless of being captain or not.

I think we have enough experienced 'leaders' on the pitch to not really worry who the official captain is. Long in the backs and Fitz, Radders and Cusack in the pack should ensure that we have leadership at all times. |

Long is here on a 2yr deal whereas Fitz is a yr with a yr option...this may have a bearing on it if we dont keep Fitz then we have to look again.....since 2005 we have only had 2 captains and they may be looking at keeping that continuallity going...I would give it to Fitz but he will capt the forwards anyway....wouldnt suprise me if we have 2 capts on pitch.
