The words natural leader come to mind. It has to be Fitz doesnt it? Nice though as we've been short of stand out leaders to have the likes of Washy learning from someone as inspiration as Fitz for future reference.

Its the perfect opportunity to identify a future Hull captain and let them learn from a player of Fitz's standing. For that reason i would give Washy the vice captaincy.

If the captain were to miss games through injury (not an alien concept at this club), would you feel comfortable with Washbrook stepping into their shoes? I know I wouldn’t.

It has to be Craig Fitzgibbon, surely. It's a no brainer. The man is vastly experienced at the top level and is highly respected by his peers.

I agree with the people saying that Danny Washbrook would be a great choice as vice captain.

Radford should have gone with the rest of them. He brought absolutely nothing to the side last year despite vast experience.

Really can't believe people are still wanting him for captain. Not once did he open his mouth when players were huddled under the sticks. Berrigan did. Whiting did but Radford just took his pay and walked off.

I would like to think we have enough experience and leadership in the squad anyway regardless of who is captain so I wouldnt have a problem with Washy leading the team out in Fitzs absence.

I'd prefer to see him prove himself as a player before he's allowed anywhere near the captaincy. I've nothing against Washbrook, but I can't think of one reason why he deserves the position.

That is my major gripe with radders he does nothing to inspire or gee them up apart from look knackered, i appreciate the unnoticed work which people call it but he isn't the leader on the park we need imo.

In every team you need someone who is willing to step forward and take responsibility for the Drawings....sorry I mean captaincy!
