| Quote: The Dentist Wilf "Motorhead played Hull City Hall June 1982 Lemmy fell off the stage and was the loudest gig they had ever had there. The bass was so loud it knocked loads of dust out of the organ. The next loudest was in 1987 when WASP played, but Judus Priest were the best they used machine guns and Harleys on stage. The roadies rode the Harleys up the main staircase at the Hall to get them in. Sorry good memories though'" Loudest gig I ever attended was Slade at Hull Uni......Maybe cos I was stood in front of this big box saying Marshall on it. My bloody ears were ringing for about a week after

seen the Priest twice recently. did you know they are not allowed to start the Harley indoors now in case anyone gets carbon monoxide poisoning
instead - a roadie pushes rob halford's bike on with an engine noise played through the PA. They still sound immense though, I'm a huge fan of their twin guitarists, tipton and downing
Memo to chewie - no chance of much metal at Glasto - Eavis does not like it. You have to sneak them onto the bill, probably under assumed names

Loudest gig for me was the afforementioned Damned one at the small pub, for much the same reasons and duration as you.

I'm old enough to remember going to see the REAL Fleetwood Mac on several occasions in the 60's. Wouldn't go to see these imposters even if the tickets were free!

I'm sorely tempted to be there a month after you for Motorhead & The Damned.'"
Franz Ferdinand were very good last night in Leeds. They played their decent stuff first so that i was able to leave when they started doing stuff from their new album and go get drunk!!
As an aside, they were supported by Music Go Music who i'd never heard of before. They were really good, reminded me of Blondie. Ive just looked on i tunes to buy their album but its not available in the UK yet i dont think.
