Ditto, letting him go would show complete imcompetence by the coach, so theres a good chance he may be leaving.

| Rich deserves a new deal,he works his socks off everyweek he plays and also never winges he just gets on with the job in hand and will play were ever he is asked to so long as it helps the team out ,what he has been through in the last 2 years to even be still playing the game is a miracle, the injury he suffered in the quins game was horrendous, hes a grafter and a very good player to have in our squad thats why the club feels he deserves a new contract too.

What persistant injury problems are these?
He had an horrendous season last year with a broken arm and a broken leg but apart from that i can't recall any other time when he has been on the sidelines due to "persistant injuries" as you say.

| good player but not worth the money being banded around by quins, id let him go if that was the case, and invest the cash in someone else... a prospect maybe?? just as whiting was..

| Get him signed up now, he's never let F.C. down and he's one of the few players that can actually 'read' the game.

Same. It's about time Horne stopped being considered 1st choice no matter what. Otherwise he'll never improve.

| Would be disappointed if he left, a very good player to have in the squad. As has been said though, would not make the 17 from a fully-fit squad. I realise it's not a straight choice, but to put it into perspective it's a tight call on who I'd most regret leaving between him and Moa, but in all honesty I think it would be Moa. He'd probably be the one I see as more likely to make us regret it. Whiting would perhaps be more the Lupton-type departure: Pleased to see him doing well and having the occasional very good game, but in the main being a good solid pro who won't let you down.
I've said for a couple of years now that IMO it's down to a straight choice between Whiting and G Horne, we don't have room for both. I hope Whiting doesn't leave as I'd pick him over Horne in just about every position they play, especially if Whiting put on another half stone to a stone.

Good post.
If it does indeed come down to a staright choice between Whiting & G. Horne then thats a no brainer, Whiting everytime for me however with Agar it could be different.
For me Whiting is a valuable player to the squad sure he's not going to figure in thw 17 week in week out but he can cover FB, Centre, LF etc which as we all know injuries seem to happen to Hull. Still think he warrants a contract at Hull.
