Thats not the impression i got, when agar,sharpe and a few players had a day out on the life boat down at spurn i was working that day as i work on the pilot boats and we share the same jetty as the life boat.
When they where boarding the life boat they seemed to be laughing and joking with sharpe and being quite pally with him and it was agar who was left on his own with nobody really talking to him, now that looks to me as if they get on well with sharpe and dont like agar.

But things may have changed in the last few months.

So the kids you played with as a youngster - were they your friends or people you were just "aware of"?

You said they were "never mates" yet they played sport together?

There are plenty of kids I played football with in the street, I wouldn't describe them as friends.
