Sure we have the numbers but in terms of supporting our team are we really the best ? I mean we boo our own players, never encourage them when we are down and only sing Old faithful when we have won. Fair play to those who have being home and away alot this year but I'm not talking about the numbers we take to games its what we do when we are there.
A few years ago it was a joy to behold to be part of the FC travelling army, going to places like Castleford 4000 odd fans all singing pre match in the pubs and at the game. As opposed to this year which just resulted in people taking it in turns to slag a player or have an Agar rant.
By no means am I suggesting this is our fault but I feel as supporters we could have contributed alot more to the players this season, when the KC is bouncing there is only ever one team who will win the game and that is us. Part of the reason I am falling away from Rugby is not just down to how we perform but the overall lack of entertain coming off the field too. Everyone just feels like turning up to a game is a chore and we have already being beat before we start.
I heard a rumour and not sure how true it is but apparentley a player had said to a friend of mine that the team prefer to play away because then they don't have 10000 people on there backs if they make a mistake, he even went on to say that playing at the KC gives him more nerves then a cup final!'"
Spot on IMO
Its one of the reasons I have stopped going to be honest. I've got sick of the fans. Each to their own where it comes to supporting your club, but they should know they are a bigger problem than they are cure.
