I'd have Mcrae back, we played attractive rugby, signed unknown players who turned out to be gems such as Raynor, Best, Dowes etc, he brought young players through, is a good spokesman to the media.
at the time I thought he'd taken us as far as he could and wasn't bothered that he was going, but I'd take him back now.

Yes it was awesome,all we really lacked i think was a top drawer 7 and perhaps a prop and better luck with injuries and we'd have took some stopping. Love watching the season highlight videos from back then, seeing the panther glide on the outside of his opposite centre or pull his winger in and unleash Best from 60 or 70 yards. Pure class.

I loved it when we had two Richie Barnetts and the crowd used to sing "there's only one....".
How many games did snr play for us? His mysterious illness seemed to keep him out for most of the time to my recollection.
