Glass half full this morning.
Nah not at all.
We are still a trillion miles away from were we need to be.

He's already signed for next season.

If you are not part of the solution then you are more likely part of the problem...: |

Still got alot to improve without doubt but that performance was a step in the right direction. We asked for pride in a derby and a bit of tactical nous and got both I thought. A dreadful start, that pass and a few 50/50s went against us. We should have won the game playing some attractive attacking rugby.
However if the Giants come to the KC and put a big score on us and we slip back into our 5 drives and poor kick then I agree.

Spot on.
With the rub of the green and playing like we did on Saturday we can beat the Giants, especially if we have further bodies back.

11526.jpg "Richard Agar, get out of my club!!!"
If only Barbara Windsor was our chairperson...:11526.jpg |
|
| There are two reasons why I dont think we have turned the corner:
1) For 75 minutes we were the better team. Playing better rugby, looking more committed, more passionate and more enthusiastic than our opponents. Yet we still could not win. Rovers were poor on Saturday and with our performance we should have spanked them. Our gameplan is still very poor and the only reason we got trys imo was because we didnt stay within the structure, looked too unorganised and it nearly worked for us. With it not been such an inspiring game next week I cant see the same thing.
2) Saturdays game was similar to the second half of the derby game at the KC, just without the better style of rugby. Yet 2 days later we got tonked at Saints then lost at home to Wakey, followed by an uninspiring win at Salford. We beat Cas with an inconsistant display but then started to produce some of the worst rugby I've seen in my 8 seasons as a supporter.
It's going to take alot more than 75 minutes of a derby game to convince me that things are getting better

| Quote: Big Dave T "Breath of fresh air that performance. A desire to offload and spread the ball about, solid defence etc We looked like a decent team. I'd rate the players4. Hall - 10/10 Best game ive ever seen him have
5. Raynor- 8/10 looked back to his best
6. Horne R - 7/10 looked better
7. Berro - 6/10 not a scrum half
8. Cordoba - 7/10
9. Houghton - 7/10 shouldnt be starting
10. King - 7/10
11. Manu - 8/10 some class touches in the 2nd half
12. Tickle - 7/10
13. Radford - 7/10
14. Lee - 7/10
15. Moa - 10/10 awsome go forward
16. Burnett - 7/10
17. Horne G -6/10'"
I notice your 10/10 awards go to players that Agar would/did not play given less injuries.
Can't see why no-one is mentioning Briscoes injury either. With him out so early in the game we should have stuffed them - still not good enough for me.

I'm still shaking my head at the brain dead numpties who waved him off as he was helped from the field on Saturday.

I can only assume that from that distance they didn't know it was Briscoe? Shouldn't really be doing it to any player (well maybe Cooke) but I'd be surprised if people knew it was Briscoe and still did it?

The chants of 'England's No1' and 'There is only one Shaun Briscoe' should have been enough to identify the player to the goons who cheered and waved him off!
Yes/No?
