In terms of next season the one plsu point so far is our recruitment, another 2/3 to come in and a fair few to go out and maybe Agar might be able to deliver some quality and consistent rugby next season. That said maybe he is useless but at least we are getting the squad right which is something we have not done in the last few seasons.

I really think there are two seperate issues regarding the 'Agar's team' thing.
yes, i accept that they are not 'his' players (though you could argue that he been assistant coach when the majority joined the club though i accept that he wouldnt have final say on those signings)

however

no matter who signed them, there are plenty with international, SOO, and major final experience and for that group of players to churn out what they have been doing is just not acceptable no matter who is in charge and who signed them. I have worked for idiots before but it didnt give me the right to do a crap job and take no pride in my work

Exactly. Effectively 13 of us of this board could turn out for FC and whilst skill levels would be presumably (!) quite low, you'd still expect a good coach to extract the best possible performance out them, no matter that level might be.
So the fact that the coach has a squad full of international and rep players means that this 'Agar's team' stuff doesnt wash with me at all. Cos you cant tell me that anyone in that team is operating anywhere near to there potential/level even on a purely individual basis.
