but not tonight, i simply don't see how a 2/3 east stand, half full south stand, 1/3 full west lower and closed west upper and north stands equals 10,300

should have tried to count everyone to be honest, would have been more exciting than the game

everyones counted by the smc stewards on theturnstiles so how can the the gate be false. if its inflated the vat mans paid an extrae 15% so why do it.

Yes, plus it's the SMC who provide the crowd figure, not the club.

Fact is all passholders are always counted, even if they do not pass through the gates

City used to count all their passholders if they attended or not (probably still do..but its always a sell out anyway) maybe we have amended our SMC deal to do the same.

in the first few years of the KC we frequently had sub 10k gates, and tonights crowd looked no different to those.

Wrong. That's only City. We have a voucher exchange scheme so can't count passholders who aren't there even if we wanted to.

It looked about 10k tonight so not sure why people are making deal about it TBH.

Because if we announce 10,000 instead 9,000, we have to pay tax for 1,000 tickets that we never actually sold (that is a pretty crude explanation I know because its not taking into account season passes).
