Yes, Lee did well. That'll please a lot of people 
Dowes and Cusack just died in the tackle for the majority. King and Thackray were winning collisions, forced the errors when KR had the ball and basically put the willies up Rovers.
Is there something to be read into it, or is it the conspirator in me?  |

Looked clueless in attack again. We have to be the slowest team in SL to play the ball. Rovers was to fast and way more advanced than us in attack.
Thought the D was good. As i said when we signed him Thorman is a waste of space.

A few years ago, i played wing for our school team, and in 4 games i touched the ball twice. I can only imagine that's how Calderwood must feel.

Calderwood was in no way our worst player. Perhaps they missed the kick that got us our last try, or when he took the ball and ran t away from the line. I agree, he was good today, in the context of a poor team performance.
We were too slow, and didn't start the game until it was too late. That's why we lost. Against a better team, it'd have been over at half time.

I saw little to encourage me at all. Thought with the exception of Thacks, King and Berro the pack were poor. No go forward, no enthusiasm.
Rich Horne was well marshalled but looked dangerous, though he is back to the bad old days of having to create and score all the time.
Our kicking game was poor ( despite a rare 40/20 ) We never once put Briscoe under pressure with our kicks. Resulting in a good player looking like a world beater.
The last 20 was reasonable and showed that our fitness was better than theirs, but I must say that at no time did I ever feel that we would win the game despite only losing on kicks.
Rovers could and should have been home and hosed by half time. Its not as if Rovers are much better, but they haad much more enthusiasm and desire than us.
I honestly feel that we will now be lucky to finish in the top 8 which frankly will be a disgrace. But thats for another thread / day.

Mate of mine who I went with today was calling Calders aswell, does my tits in personally as I feel sorry for the lad. Never gets the ball unless he looks for it and then he is never going to be able to create something on his own as he isn't that type of player. Give him space out wide and he will be very dangerous!
