| Unfortunately the rumour is true, i was also talking to a first team player who has confirmed this, apparently its his ACL same injury as bullard i've heard. This is awful news and I wish him well and hope he has a speedy recovery although i dont think he will play again this season  |

I would expect him to leave at the end of the season so he may well have played his last game for the club.

Gutted if its true. Byrne's played well and was looking good for a regular starting spot this year. Fortunately we have decent back up, but fingers crossed for Skinny

i dont want to make assumtions until anythings announced.
but if a player whos ooc gets injured for the season would insurance cover his wages on the cap? |

This begs the question, should he have gone back on after first coming off with him saying (alledgedly) 'it felt as if it had popped'

Don't think so. I think it's just tough luck. You could pay him out and de-register him to release a quota spot but would have no cash left within the cap to get a replacement, I thought.  |

does that depend if you can get him to agree to a early release and pay his contract off at a smaller percentage? like we did with dykes?
i'm in no way suggesting we should do this btw.

Looks like it if its true about the injury
Would be a blow if he does go as hes under-rated imo is very solid in all positions ( FB, Wing and Centre ) hes knows where the tryline is and is a great defender and i cant believe some of the stick hes gets tbh |
