They say that your forwards lay the platform for the half backs but unless you have your players in motion your half backs have little options and your play becomes one out rugby and predictable.'"
Totally agree. We have no movement whatsoever off the ball, and whilst im not defending the half backs the team at the moment give them no options. We need to move up in numbers and we haven't done that this year. Just look at how many options Barrett has when he put O'Loughlin through.

Yes the centres didn't do much BUT the half backs were plain awful, why are people so obsessed with defending Lee and Horne when they have been nothing better than average for 5 out of 7 games this season?'"
Watch the game again and tell me how often the half backs ran at the line only to find our Second Rows and Centres stood still or running directly at defenders. Also watch how often we were turned on our backs and failed to turn the Wigan players on their backs and also watch to see how many times we even attempted to offload the ball and compare to the St Helens game.
The half backs are recieving lots of criticism at the minute but its a little harsh to try to blame the current situation totally on them. We have a stand off who is an exceptional broken play player but not so much a creator yet were expecting him to make the gaps and the rest to support, when to get the best out of him the players should be running at the gaps and he should be getting the ball to them. We have an already established exeptional Hooker who apparently needs to understudy to another expectional Hooker yet we're expecting a 19 year old kid to be rushed into the side because of injury and make things happen without this luxury.

I wouldnt say we are a one man team, just inconsistan without him. We have shown we can play well without him its just we have proved we can do it consistantly. A one man team to me is a team who cant play as well at all without one player, and we can

Radford does nothing special IMO. Steady doesn't hack it. He wouldn't be in my 17 - I'd much rather play Macca.
Neither centre offered anything at all in attack, and they DID have opportunities to do so. Yeaman in particular looked like he just wasn't interested - even his defence was ropey.
In the second half, when we were pressing on their line, we didn't have one single player in motion as the halfbacks had the ball.
No-one is saying the halfbacks played well, but they were hardly alone. We have had a collective failure to perform this season and I'm struggling to understand why some folk want to pretend that the [ionly[/i problem is at halfback.

| I think the problem lies in our reluctance to throw the ball around. On friday did we ever try to get the ball out wide just inside our half?
We got drawn into the style of play we used against Wakey. It was all down the middle stuff.
Yet against Saints we were more expansive and it paid off. Just look at Domic`s try. Manu , Sing and Sid out wide in our own half and moving at pace.

Yeah that makes sense, replace someone "steady" with someone "steady"

Nail, Head, Hammer.
IF we drop Radders from the first 13 it needs to be in favour of Manu. We don't have the quality in the squad to drop him from the squad totally.

Correct. Morgan has been offered the player you are referring to providing their is a clause in his contract he can't play in the first derby...
However, Morgan isn't keen and doesn't rate the player...

Your opinion probably isn't up to much then, as Sharp allways plays Radford and picked him as captain.
Plus, when Justin Morgan was asked which three players from Hull FC's squad he'd most like to have at rovers, Radford was one of the first names he mentioned.
I reckon JM and PS know a tad more about rugby league than yourself.
