It's just a case of steadying the ship next season . I don't think we will be as bad as this sh17show of a season either .

We will see……we aren’t a good sell and we have to get what we can….every club goes through it…..Warrington was nearly relegated and look at them and you could argue there recruitment wasn’t massively impressive barring dufty.

I hope we do improve, it’s what we all want but after years of abject failure and just constantly getting decision after decision wrong, I just can’t bring myself to being optimistic

Wasn’t our very first target under Myler to bring in a centre? Perham I think was in talks. Since then we’ve probably had about 6 months of non stop searching and about 4 quota spots open at one stage and we’ve not managed to bring in a specialist centre. I’m pretty sure that says there’s nobody in our price range available so I doubt we’ll be suddenly paying off Sao or anyone else to create a quota spot to bring in a centre.

I get the impression he’ll be going but I really hope we keep Walker. Even if the plan is for Rapana at fullback I think Walker has the skills to be a decent centre.

Davidson linking us with a super league half back, but don’t know if it’s just Cust but it’s behind a pay wall.

Fages was rumoured earlier this week

Perham is mainly a fullback, thought it was odd at the time, but that's looks like it's been the plan, him, Stewart, Sailor and now Rapana.

With Morgan Smith leaving it would be ideal to have some cover (I don't know who it is behind the paywall)

Sign Fages, dont sign one of Cust or Seizer, sign a quota centre

Cust will be the cover if he signs

Don't get why we'd sign Fages, he's a decent player but not in a position we need, it would leave us with Sezer, Abdul, Cust and Fages along with Balmforth and Borough for 3 positions and I can see any of them wanting to be backup.

I think Rapana even at his age is a great player and very good signing and should go very well in SL no doubt about that or his experience and leadership qualities, but feel there is a genuine question mark over whether he is what we need player wise based on the rest of the recruitment done and areas we are still short in.

It appears that in terms of filling the remaining quota spots Myler/Cartwright have gone for players he knows fairly well and worked with before which I can understand but currently I am struggling to get enthused about next season based on everything so far. As for Sezer I'm pretty much 'meh' as he's not the running half I was hoping or lead to believe we were looking for and he hasn't lit up SL other than doing well in his first season, for Leeds he was anonymous to say the least.
The one I really struggle with is Cust as just I feel that'd be a wasted quota spot on a player that's hardly played since he came to SL, in fairness I'm pretty sure you could find a non quota player instead for the role that they see Cust in.

Whilst I appreciate the player pool is pretty dry the club will be expecting fans to pay top dollar for memberships and match day tickets and after the past 2-3 seasons alone of broken promises, the recruitment if we are to be genuinely truthful hasn't really matched the talk and for many I fear the end of the line may well have been reached.
